If it wasn't Vucinic we wouldn't have won the league and wouldn't have gone trough the Copa final. How irritating is that :sergio:

Last year some RM fans were unhappy with Ronaldo... just saying. In Bulgaria we have an epigram about such people "To be shaved and not to feel rough"

Oh and I forgot Giaccherini... great team player.

The ideal would be to insert Verratti in the squad right away, but I believe the condition for any team to buy him is to loan him next season to Pescara.

But if these transfers happen, Juve would have great prospects for the future: Leali, Verratti, Pogba, Buoy, Appelt, Isla, Jovetic.

All these players could reach world class level at some point, if we are lucky. Also, Marchisio, Asamoah, Vidal, Astori, are fairly young. It would be a very good balance between youth and experience.

I agree when you say Coppa, but in the league he played very badly during 70% of time. With a good player replacing him Juve would have won it 4 games in advance

The ideal would be to change the 3 guys upfront. I'd like to see Vucinic out of the starting XI, he was very annoying during most of season.

But let's be realistic.

RVP is probably going to City/Chelsea/Madrid/Barcelona.

Suarez is by far the best player in Liverpool and they would only release him if he officially demands a trade and some team offers at least 35/40M for him. It's highly unlikely.

Cavani is very very expensive and Napoli won't make another Italian team stronger. I really doubt he'll leave for another Italian club. I'd love him but it's really hard.

Higuain is also nearly impossible. He plays for the most famous and richest team of the world, and if he requests a trade (what I doubt) he'll probably leave to Premier League.

Dzeko, on the other hand, has world class upside and is a realistic target. He should face competition from Bayern, but I think for something around 25M he could come, it would be a huge improvement.

Jovetic would be very interesting as well. He won't be cheap, but he's also a realistic target.

Giovinco IMO won't make it at Juve... we should sell our half for 12/15M.

Oh, and Kolarov is HIGHLY overrated. This guy is a defensive disaster, very weak mentally. I'd rather have Adriano, for 8/10M.

Isla would replace Pepe perfectly. He's an improved Pepe.

So, for me a decent mercato:

Coming:
Leali (4M), Adriano (8M), Caceres (8M), Astori (10M), Pogba (free), Verratti (12M and loaned), Asamoah (15M), Isla (14M), Jovetic (18M), Dzeko (25M) = 114M spent

Leaving: Manninger (free), Ziegler (3M), Motta (2M), Grosso (free), Pazienza (2M), Melo (12M), Krasic (7M), Elia (7M), Estigarribia (free), Jorge Martinez (free/loan), Giovinco (12M), Borriello (free), Iaquinta (free), ADP = revenue of 47M

Total: around 68M spent. Do we have this money?

The squad would be:

Buffon, Storari, Leali

De Ceglie, Adriano, Litchsteiner, Caceres

Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Astori

Asamoah, Marrone, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, Padoin

Isla, Pepe

Jovetic, Vucinic, Quagliarella

Dzeko, Matri
First of all id like to point out that i love it when people actually come up with some sort of plan rather then just sit back and discuss others proposals. I just fail to comply with you using Isla as Pepe replacement. I rate Pepe an attacking player with workrate and Isla midfielder with workrate. Isla as third most offensive player on the field? No way. I would not look for a direct replacement of Pepe either. Keep him as he is and look for an alternative - an adjustment to the tactics. Andriy Yarmolenko for 8m € as RWF?
Dzeko turned us down once and he is not the player I would go for as first priority - could eventually be a necessity but id much rather look elsewhere as he'll also have an enormous wage-demand.
Id also like to point out that Giovinco should and would return as he is one of the highest rated strikers in Italy - if not the best technically in the azzurri at the euros?? In your mercato you have Astori as 10m €? He is out of contract and comes for free, I just dont think he's any good.. You also have Jovetic for 18? Dude.. Napoli are ready to offer 30m €.......

IN:
Sebastian Giovinco, Parma, 25 years old. 10m €
Olivier Giroud, Montpellier, 25 years old. 16m € (buy-out clause)
Mattia Destro, Siena, 21 years old. 5m € co-ownership

Davide Santon, Newcastle, 22 years old. 12m €
Nicola Leali, Brescia, 19 years old. 5m €
Poul Pogba, Manchester United, 20 years old. 0m €
*Marcelo Estigarribia, 24 years old. 5m € (buy-out clause)
Stevan Jovetic, 22 years old. 25m € + Estigarribia
Marco Capuano, Napoli (on loan to Pescara), 20 years old. 7m €.
TOTAL 97m €

OUT:
Milos Krasic, 27 years old. Sell to; Liverpool, Tottenham etc. 8m €
Luca Marrone, 22 years old. Sell to; Udinese (50% only) Asamoah deal.

Alessandro Del Piero, 37 years old. End of contract
Felipe Melo, 28 years old. Sell to; Galatasaray. 15m €
Reto Ziegler, 26 years old. Sell to; Fernerbache etc. 5m €
Marco Motta, 26 years old. Sell to; Catania, Sevilla etc. 3m €
Vincenzo Iaquinta, 32 years old. End of contract
Jorge Martinez, 29 years old. Sell to; Cesena, Catania etc. 3m €
TOTAL 54m €

97-54=43
43m €.

Full squad 2012/13:

Goalkeepers:
GK: Buffon, Storari, Leali

Defenders:
LB: Santon, De Ceglie
CB: Cheillini, Barzagli, Bonucci, Capuano
RB: Lichsteiner, Caceres

Midfielders:
CM: Marchisio, Pogba, Vidal, Asamoah, Pirlo, Giaccherini, Padoin

Strikers:
SS: Vucinic, Jovetic, Giovinco
CF: Giroud, Quagliarella, Destro
RW: Pepe

Here Conte's got TONS TONS AND YET TONS of possible lineups!

This was my old plan.. Its not what i think we will do, its what i hope we will do.. (I can't think of signing any of Suarez, Cavani, RVP or Higuain, i just don't understand how that would be possible for us, and I do not think it's worth "taking Dzeko back" when Giroud is that good as well)

4-3-3:

Vucinic Giroud Giovinco
Marchisio Vidal
Pirlo
Santon Chiellini Barzagli Lichsteiner
Buffon

Vucinic Giroud Pepe
Marchisio Vidal
Asamoah
Santon Chiellini Bonucci Caceres
Buffon

TONS of possible lineups; my point is we need a new LB if we want to play 4-3-3.

Hey, generally speaking I like your mercato. Just think that you are missing Verratti there. Also, about Gio is just a feeling that he won't cut it at Juve. But his return would be interesting anyway.

But mainly, I haven't seen Giroud many times, but he doesn't convince me much...

If we can't get Dzeko, I'd go for Damiao, for 15-20M. He hasn't been performing well for Brazil, and he doesn't have the necessary flair and creativity to become a WC striker. But he can shoot very well with both legs, he's strong, quick, good on headers, good movement off the ball, decent first touch.

I think Isla would do Pepe's job very well, the guy can play in multiple positions. And the optios for that position in the mercato are very slim - the best would be Suarez, by far, but as I said I don't think it's realistic.

Why do we need Isla when we have Caceres and Lichtsteiner? Now we're just stacking up on RBs.
Also, on that Suarez debate. If we do get Suarez, I'll be more than thrilled. Suarez wouldn't be a Pepe kind of winger, he'll set up a lot more and score a lot more than Pepe. If we can't get our targeted CFs (Cavani, Higuan, RVP) We shouldn't settle for Damiao or something like that, I rather us get Suarez and keep one of Matri or Quag as a CF.

IN: Astori/Ogbonna, Caceres, Giaccherini, Isla, Verratti (loan back), Asamoah, Giovinco, Suarez, Destro
Out: Krasic, Melo, Quag, Elia, Esti, Borriello, and all the other shit we have in our reserves and on loan.

Buffon
(Storari)
Lichtsteiner - Barzagli - Chiellini - De Ceglie
(Caceres) - (Bonucci) - (Astori) - (Chiellini)
Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio
(Asamoah) - (Marrone) - (Giaccherini)
Suarez - Matri - Vucinic
(Pepe) - (Destro) - (Giovinco)

Buffon
(Storari)
Barzagli - Bonucci - Chiellini
(Astori) - (Astori) - (Astori)
Isla - Vidal - Pirlo - Marchisio - De Ceglie
(Caceres) - (Padoin) - (Marrone) - (Asamoah) - (Giaccherini)
Suarez - Matri
(Vucinic) - (Destro)
