I know exactly what you mean. Both of you.
But don't you find it a bit frustrating and depressing? You login almost every day in here and read such things. Like 'hey who should we get to replace Pogba' 'we should sell him while he's on a good form' etc. I find that quite odd because most of the time I gotta check if I'm on a Juventus forum. Sadly, it's what majority bites and IMO it's a first sign that we're not a top club anymore. It's pretty damn sad when we have to even talk about such stuff while nobody addresses important stuff that needs to be done within a club. You just wake up and see all kind of line-ups, with new players, new formations. In almost every single one of them there are no Pogba and/or Vidal.
What scares me is the thought how people at our club think the same. I personally we're in a position to hold these players, just like recently when we've seen Pogba's renewal. What needs to be done as a next step is succeeding in Europe in order to make them stay here for a long(er) period of time. We're Juventus. We are and should be capable of doing that task. Instead, we should be trying to get new defenders to make our CB line stronger and to get a proper left back. We should be discussing Pirlo's replacement, or Marchisio's back-up if he goes in his place, cause it's what this club should do. No, we're not in a position to get Verratti, simply because we can't compete with the big fish. Should we get Verratti and sell Pogba? No. Why? Because Pogba should be our Verratti and our potential star who should stay his until his old age. Even if we do that swap, we're still not addressing our problems and that's a bad thing. Sell Pogba for Verratti and Cavani? Not only we won't see that happen, but that's just total bull$#@! right there. It's even worse when people go like 'let's sell Pogba/Vidal and get 5 lesser players!'. I mean, wake the hell up. That's not what winners do. What what you expect from Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Lazio.
What we need is a proper investment, mostly in youth. Just like we did with Pogba and Coman, we should keep doing it. It's the way to get out of rut at the moment. Instead of chasing 40-60mln kids who might replace Pirlo we should be the ones producing them. What needs to be changed is not a formation nor Pogba and Vidal. It's the mentality. Mentality of our staff, board and even our fans. Sometimes I have a feeling this is club that fights for a 3rd place and not for a top CL spot and lifting its trophy. So instead of trying to find the right players to swap Pogba/Vidal with, we should think of the plan how to keep them while buying other quality to reassure their stay at Turin. What we need a Marotta doing his job well. Something that scares me.
