Have you seen Verratti? He's like a beefed up Pirlo.

I don't know what I'd think about that trade though. Pogba is world class. Verratti is world class. Pogba has been great at Juventus. Verratti has been great at Juventus. The only true advantage for either team is that Pogba is French and Verratti is Italian and that might appeal to the local fanbase. Other than that both teams should be cautious not to ruin a good thing.
Talent aside, this in my opinion is why Juve shouldn't trade Pogba with Verratti, if Juve doesn't want to limit its fanbase to local fanbase only.

@Dule,i think we've come to a point where we can afford to sacrifice one of our big fish and not lose a beat because midfield is one department where we have the best depth and quality.

Because, this team needs changes, maybe big ones. Its very clear to me.Short term replacements are not going to cut it,we've been making too many of those and you dont always get lucky. Also like to add its very difficult to address the creativity department with talented youth without spending too much and that happens to be our major problem area.

Anyway we're discussing a hypothetical situation afterall like we always do.I have always maintained retaining your best players is a priority but when you're at a stage where you need to make some big changes and dont have the budget for that,a swap like that is hard to ignore because you're getting quality in return and for two major problematic positions not just one and its for the long term nonetheless. We're not talking about swapping Pogba with a 30 yr old here.

The management are going to none of the above so we can be cool now.

Funny how people talk about sales of Pogba and Vidal. If Tevez was younger I guess he'd be mentioned too.

I guess it does make sense to talk about sales of our best and youngest assets in the team. I mean, why would we keep them and sell the deadwood or mediocre ones? It just makes no sense.
When you spend so much on Pereyras, Moratas and Sneijders you are bound to finance your idiocy someway.

If Zidane left, who the fuck is Pogba? This whole argument about "we'd show the world we can't even hold on to our players" is bullshit. We aren't rich anymore and we never had the best scouts, so stop this shit about finding young players, we're too bad at it. Before we had money to buy the best, that's why we had the best.

I find it funny how everybody fucking loses their shit when we get kicked out of the CL by the likes of the great Galatasaray and that we're linked with washed up or simply average players who will barely be any good in a weak Serie A, and when a chance comes (even though i think the rumour is BS) to add two top quality - If Pogba is the best younger mid in the world Verratti is surely top 3, and a striker who guarantees goals in the highest level - players for the CL, you say no. :pado:
You make it sound like the offer is actually there. But there's isn't one.

That's pure media BS right there.

Instead of think of it as a trade, think of it as that, as depressing as it sounds, it's a given that not too far from now we will be getting too huge of bids to ignore or he will want move. If the fee is extremely profitable, would you use that money to hypothetically sign Cavani and Verratti?

I would without a second of hesitation.

I have, I'm not saying Veratti is weak in physique as he does look stronger than he did when he first joined psg but at the same time he is no match for Pogba in terms of strength and certainly not in his ability to win the ball off a player, as I've highlighted veratti can be very rash with his tackling at at times been sent off for it, for me as much as I think they are both excellent players Pogba just adds that bit more to his game and if we are to stick with this 4-3-1-2 system It would be unwise to sacrifice the steel Pogba offers

Cavani turns 28 in a month. Not that he's "old" but when he was hot, he was 24 playing for Napoli. I can identify better strikers then him. Verratti is meant to be though..

How much would Cavani and Verrati cost? Imagine that sum is in cash in Marotta's hands and he has to use it to buy players, for examply Cavani or Verrati or others of the same calibre :scared: The thought alone ...

They're different players, Badass. While Pogba is stronger and can win balls he has half the vision and quality passing Verratti does. He's the best passer in the league right now.

Besides, do you truly and i mean truly believe we'll be able to hold on to Pogba for too long? We'd be just delaying the inevitable.

The only way we get someone of Cavani's caliber is through a swap. You can be rest assured we're not going to spend the money on Cavani's if we sold Pogba only for cash
