That defense is quite mediocre. Not to mention how it's led by out of brain Chiellini. Licht isn't getting any younger either.

I have no idea how we can't invest in a beast CB after 15 years, but we're ready to rely on Bonucci, Ogbonna, Rolando and Caceres. It makes no sense.

Montoya must really suck if Barca would let him go.
If he's coming as a Licht backup it makes more sense than signing Rolando. I can't believe we're even linked with that guy, what the hell are we planning to resolve with that guy in our defense :lol2: ... kinda sickening how we can't buy a proper defender after so long time.

i'll make it simple so you can understand. if we get a CB in the summer (other than Rugani) we would have Chiellini, Barzagli, Bonucci, new CB (a young one with potential) and Caceres (assuming Ogbonna leaves). adding Rugani then would be too much. but if we were to waste time with guys like Rolando, Vidic etc. (washed up CBs that no-one else wants) then im all for bringing back Rugani instead. again assuming Ogbonna (or another of our current CBs) leaves. if no-one of our current CBs leaves we are covered and dont have room for any new CBs, including Rugani. i hope it isnt too complicated

But we don't have money, that's why.

Rolando is a filler signing, but we dont even need him.We dont have a crisis in defense.Unless we can afford to buy a top CB(when i mean top,i aint talking about prospects) ,there's no need for any CB signings.

Yeah I agree. We don't have any crisis in defense and I don't understand the knee jerking around here. Actually our defense is pretty good I'd say but Rolando as half-season filler won't hurt us at all. Same thing with Montoya.

Our problem is attack actually, we're too toothless even in Serie A. Our only reliable forward is Tevez who can create and score. We really lack AM/SS/winger type of player that will be able to carry the team if Tevez has a day off or when things don't really go our way. Giovinco who was supposed to be Tevez's replacement doesn't play at all and is as good as gone. Vidal and Pereyra aren't good enough for the AM role which is supposed to connect midfield and attack.

Thing is, we're making more signings that "won't hurt us" which at this stage is pathetic. Signing for the sake of signing.
Yeah that's true. I said it myself I don't understand the need for a defender while we need to strengthen the attack. What can you do? If I was Beppe I'd be in for AM/winger or eventually ss.

I'd rather have Romagna to make numbers instead of Rolando. You save some cash in the transfer and wages.
