Ill whore myself to come play there.
You should see it after the 5 speaker system was installed!! :dazed:
Well, a lot of people felt the same way and our apartment became a 24/7 hangout/arcade/getaway. That was cool for about 2 years, but I've had enough so i moved out...

Now, I'm a visitor there..

Yeah it was really interesting and frankly I think that is the kind of reality we might be headed towards.

Yeah, I thought it was a good prediction too... I was just wondering how much of it was fictional. Are google really working on this grid? It doesn't seem that far fetched.

A lot of privacy issue will be (and probably already are) involved. no doubt.
........
Speaking of google, have you tried keyhole?

Very Matrix-y that video wasn't it?

What's keyhole?

Keyhole

it's nothing special.. just an application that allows you to view sat images. I thought it's pretty cool... google are involved in some way. This makes google a bit more scary...

I wonderd if someone had tried it yet.... My laptop can't handle much more.. my HDD is already overflowing so i wanna know if this is worth the huge DL let alone subscribing.

I have the same thing with my basement. Except it is a shithole and none of us really want to be there, but we are sometimes forced too.

Oh yeah I think I saw it before. Never bothered to try it. Don't plan to start now. :D
In that case, I'll look for feedback from someone else

sounds like your laptop is ready for a reinstall :D
If you mean formatting, then no... not really... It's been formatted enough... It's perfectly set the way I want it, except for some unorganized (3 gigs :D ) files that i gathered in a single folder.

It's just that I want a new one because my time/technology has caught up and passed it.
- The HDD doesn't have much left on it (so i need to leave 15% empty to defrag).
- I need to buy HDD imaging Software to back it up. Thankfully, I don't have any glitches.
- I need to update to WinXp SP2 and I'm afraid some apps won't work, so that's another reason to back up.
- I don't have USB 2.0 or firewire and I really don't want to have to buy a $100 PCMCIA card adapter for it.
- I don't have a DVD-R or even a regular DVD. Some software now is destributed in DVDs not regular CDs.
- My CD-RW's speed is only 8X!! and the Read speed isn't much more than that.
- The video car is only 16mb.

It still hold up well though.. I'm really anal when it comes to my PC and it's preferences and I'm beotching about it because I know i'm too lazy to start setting everything up all over.

Example: I DLed Mozilla 1.5 more than a year ago and I'm just starting to customize firefox to start using it.

you are a lazy biatch :D

But don't worry, I got a lead on some good shit for you: http://media.linspire.com/walmart/
Nothing beats a walmart $500 deal :D
You made Dell Piero (That's my laptop's name BTW :D ) feel better!!
He's more than 3 years old and he's way better than that laptop you just offered! (My standards have definately gone down if I'm comparing Dell Piero to wal-mart discount models  )

Thanks for the offer, but I'm watching MAC Laptops closely ATM... :)

Toshiba is another option....

If the HP-Compaq you're talking about is the wide-screen model, then I'll look into that too. :)
