noone has been in the team as long as delpiero. they cant be 'legends'.... yet
So you moron are basicly saying that for example Platini isn't Juve-legend but Birindelli is because the latter has played for Juve longer time?

And come to think of it, I'd like to add Nedved on the list I made page earlier.

it would be better to distinguish between three (or maybe two) kinds of great juventus players. mind you players that are still playing for juve could deffinetly change category

The first category it would be great players who played for juventus, people like Zidane, davids, trezeguet, ibrahimovic, thuram, cannavaro

The second category would be players who gave 110% every time and accepted to be part of the bigger picture (which it did involve them being on the bench). players like birindeli, conte, tacchinardi, pessoto and many more.

now when Great Players that play for juventus give constantly 110% they become legends besides del piero, nedved, thuram, buffon, camoranessi, zambrotta, are some of the options, viera and emerson following them closely. now in order for all of them to truly become juventus legends they need to show their worth for several years 4 or 5 at least.

in memory of swag aka greg ;) here's my $ .02

if cannavaro stays here 3 more years and gives us some silverware, he will be. At the moment Nedved and Pessoto are already legends. Buffon will be our most valuable keeper, I´m sure. Far beyond Zoff.

Ferrara.
Zambrotta.
Nedved.
Thuram.
Cannavaro.
Trezeguet.
Buffon.
Tacchinardi.
Pesotto.

That's in no particular order, but all those guys are potential legends.

IMO Del Piero is the only Juventus legend currently donning our black and white. Pessotto has been a great player for us but I don't quite see him as a legend, same goes for Tacchinardi. A number of players here have the potential to become legendary figures but haven't quite reached that level yet IMHO.

I think Pessotto and Tacchinardi arent exactly legends, but they have created an aura about their time with Juventus, in their own right.

    i totally agree with stuart.
pessoto and tacci have been great servants for a very long time, but to be a legend,i guess you need to have that something extra, you need to stand out in the crowd, and i dont think pessoto and tacci fill that category.no disrespect intended.

Quite right, but that's also because he's been here longer than any of his current teammates. So to be fair to them, a comparison with Dp is unwarranted, even if there is potential for them to go on and become legends if they spend enough time as Bianconeros.

:wth: Tacchi is one of the four that has won 15 trophies with Juventus, one more than Scirea!! Pessotto isn't far behind with his 13 trophies won. Both are pets of Curva no matter what you think and their heart without a doubt pumps black&white blood. What more do you need to do to become a legend then? I haven't forgot the years, they'll always be legends to me and many others.

in dont quite agree with you here erkka... both of them (tacchi and pessotto) were here for ages now, both have been important but they werent the most important figures in our past victories. i think they're this ' ' short of being legends.. at least tacchinardi.

anyway, who knows, we'll see that in 10 years :D

Yes, they weren't the most important members of the team, that's true. I just got pissed off when that - who the hell it was, I don't care - claimed that Tacchi and Pessotto aren't popular... Hmm, by the way, do you count Rampulla as legend then? After all, he played a decade with Juve, won loads of trophies and currently has a vacant job as GK coach.

Thuram Zambro Nedved Trez ... all great players for Juve in the last years, but not legends (yet).

In our current squad I guess Pessotto is the closest the the status of legend, behind DP of course.

Zidane without a doubt. How long has he been with us? 5 years? During which he won the WC, EC, a few Scudetti, the golden boot, etc. During which he become the player that he [is] today.
