While I do agree with you, I don't think that it is the match threads or any other serious topic thread that is the root of the problem.

Quite honestly, I try to go on as many threads as I can, and personally, I don't see these match threads or any other serious topic threads going off base.
Then please explain to me how talking about Britney Spears and Jayz is relevant to Juventus vs Udinese as I would be grateful for someone to explain that to me and then it just went from there

Now how is that fair to others who genuinely want to read reports about the game?

It's fvcking amazing that we even have off topic chit-chat post in this thread. The very same page. Don't you guys really have respect for this forum?

That's natural though Meow. These off-topic conversations are nothing compared to the derailments that some other threads experience...

yeah I know...

But ironically the current thread's objective is to eliminate or at least to control the off topics !! *sigh*

Why should we bother uh??

OK, I decided to check the thread in question, because I knew you picked it because i had something to do with it. Something that I've already admitted to being guilty of.

Out of 527 posts, exactly 13 had something to do with that discussion.

Mind you, half of those posts had a little off-topic, and a little bit of subject matter about the game and some of the highlights that they were showing, because I was watching it on TV and relaying some of that info to people.

I also noticed that you didn't happen to be one of those people who were on the thread at the time of the game, and if you also notice, all that banter went on after the game was over. If you bothered to check the thread before all of these posts, (which I'm sure you didn't) you will notice that I was one of the people trying to give as much information as possible to the other posters who didn't have means to see the game or be able to read transcripts in Italian. However, you conveniently fail to mention that.

Look, you can PM me anytime you want if you have any particular grievance with me, and we can discuss it like adults, or you can bring it out in the open and we can deal with it that way.

Either way is fine with me.

I really agree with that. When the game was under progress some people were posting minute by minute what was going on, and after the game we could have gone a little off topic but still people posted what they thought about the game, impressions, etc. so the thread went back on topic again

in other words, context is very important, and since we're an international community with very different time zones from one another, people might get the wrong impression about the way a discussion has happened

Come on guys! As I said before we've all done it ourselves so there's no point bring up old history to upset anyone.

Let's go for the future.
