Though interestingly, I've heard from other Americans now living abroad, that I will likely become more patriotic after I move out of the country. For example when a European insults the US or Americans & I have to defend myself.

I read that in a cracked article a few days back, about one of the writers how lived in australia. I joined in the offending of england when i was travelling, but when someone criticises the English when i'm here i get a bit defensive, because it feels like an insult on me due to the cultural identity that i was born into.
