dont know if its the same in Germany, but in the Netherlands doors don't open without a key from the outside.

That was kind of weird for me, I locked myself out a few times when i first moved. Here in the UAE, we never lock doors when we're inside.

wherever i lived in the UAE, doors could be opened from the outside without a key, if the door wasnt locked.

So, if i go out during the day and i knew someone was in, i wouldnt have to take a key.

In the Netherlands (Europe?), no. The door is locked on the outside when you close it anyway.
