Spent all day today at a wake, tomorrow is the burial. A mother to my three friends, but like a second mother to all. Known them for almost half my life. She was the sweetest, most pure hearted woman on the face of this Earth, she did not deserve to suffer as she did from multiple myeloma. It hurts so much that I can't do more for them.

Enjoy those in your life while you still can.

Kate!

Well that explains all the drool around your mouth.
That, and other things...

How have you been, darling?

That is a very harsh way to go, I am sorry for your loss.

Not half bad, my love. Not half bad.

All my friends and coworkers seemed to have travelled the world this holiday break while I stayed home, but I ain't too jelly -- I'll get my travels in later in the year, and it has been nice to lay low at home with little traffic and so many people out of town. (SF being a young-people town kind of empties out around the holidays while they all see family and/or see the world elsewhere.)

My work situation is otherwise good... which isn't always a given. And, curiously enough, I started classes in graffiti and street art. So now I spray paint just about anything I get my hands on. Lucky for you you're on the other side of the continent.

How's shakes with you? Still in Halifax?

Feeling rather under the weather after the weekend
We had the biggest rainstorm in a decade here. Trees falling over everywhere. I even spent a part of last night in the rain climbing a ladder on top of my 2nd story roof so I could clear out some fallen leaves that had clogged my gutters. Par-tay!

Extreme day drinking was a bad idea.
I don't think I've ever done "Extreme day drinking". But I have done "large format drinking" days... where wine is consumed from nothing smaller than a magnum. (And I don't mean condoms.)

Girlfriend and I got offered jobs in Athens. Anyone lived there with a few words on it?
I wouldn't do it. In the months leading up to your move, people would constantly be cracking jokes about you being the only person they know who'd go to Greece for a job. The lame jokes would be the end of me tbh.

You make an excellent point. On the other hand: one year contract with possibilities of moving up in an international company, taztaziki and ouzo.

Plus its a good way of testing the relationship without her moving into My place.
