Probably would have been nice to go to trial and get some closure on the situation.

But Wilson was never going to be indicted. No prosecutor in his right mind would try had to indict a police officer from his department without evidence of major ciminality (being a crooked cop) on the part of the police officer. It would be political and professional suicide for the guy.

It also seems like there wasn't much evidence (whether on purpose or not) and the witness statements seemed to change far to often to provide a substantial understanding of what happened.

Also, when you see the rioting and the treatment of the non-violent protestors (the ones not looting and rioting) and the media by the police department it's obvious there are deep seeded issues between the community and the police department. That's the true tragedy here. That some members of this society feel the best way to react to a tragedy is with violence and disregard for others. It's pretty obvious that this has been building for years and Mike Brown's death was just an excuse to make it official.

So fucked up they couldn't indict him, at least.
Why? A jury of his peers voted there was no reason to. Both black and white jury members. The facts all seemed to point in Wilson's favor.

That's why the prospector sent it to the grand jury could analyze all the facts. The voted no indictment. I don't see the issue. The only fuckers that do see an issue are making this about race and we see what's happening.

How can you blame the police reaction to the protesters? It's night for one, and when you start seeing vandal, looting, GUNSHOTS NOT COMING FROM POLICE, fires, cop cars being destroyed and lit on fire then you have some serious bad apples that ruin it for everyone. You start getting emotions snowball effecting and feeding off one another and start seeing pack mentalities.

Bravo to the police and bravo to the jury for not succumbing to political pressure and sticking to the facts.

You can definitely blame the initial treatment (back in August) of protestors, arresting of media on the police department. Definitely.

But that has nothing to do with the indictment. You don't send a man to trial to save his life to appease race relations. If anything that should have been a separate investigation.

What does any of this have to do with what I've just posted? Don't be White Al Sharpton bro. :D

I never said the guy should be indicted, just that he never was going to be. Even if Mike Brown was white, there wouldn't have been an indictment. Prosecutors don't indict their police unless it's something completely unjustifiable with a ton of evidence ie. Rodney King.

If they want, the state can elect to have a special prosecutor or the Feds can bring in one of their guys, but it's unlikely to happen.

Just to put this out there, so you can quit making this us vs them. I'm not saying Wilson is guilty or all cops are bad, or black people are the best or any racially polarizing things.

i dont know about necessity of indictment, unless like you said there was clear evidence of foul play.

Also the problems between police and community have more to do with a significant part of community's reliance on criminal activity and that 'life' than some a priori antagonism from 5-0.

When you have so many apps and devices mapped to different phone numbers as I do, you never know what accidental spam you might receive sometimes.

So do I create a profile named "Cyril" and try to bang this whore or what?

(OK, so she probably has a black deck.)
