To be honest in the home counties its not that uncommon for a family to own horses, especially in the countryside. You only stand out when you are a breeder, if you used to lead a hunt (before the ban - which I support) or own stables.
I am I supposed proud that my family has succeeded and has nice stuff, but its not my stuff. When I earn something im proud that ive earnt it - ie working all summer to take my ex to The Gambia for a week 5* (

) or saving for a nice tv, but its just things and it isn't how I want to be as a functioning member of society, i'd happily work for expenses given the line of work I want to go into.
