What do you have as suggestions then? Because sitting in the couch and surfing the internet or watching TV is not in any way doing your body good.
I broadly divide physical recreation in two categories. Sports and exercise. Sports is fun because what you're actually using most is your brain. That's what skill based activity is based on, training neural networks if you will. And that's the whole reason it's fun.
Exercise is stuff like running, you just blindly repeat the same thing and you could do it even if you were brain dead. That stuff really bores me.
Anyway, I don't have any "answers", all I know is what's fun to me.
