:agree:

Typically bizarre Seven comment.

PS Bondi rox

It's not bizarre at all. The health benefits of occasional lifting are so immense that it is silly not to. I'm not talking about bodybuilding or anything, I'm talking about strength. Just like cardiovascular fitness, your body needs a certain amount of strength to function well.

What about smoking? It's bizarre to smoke when you think about health. Or a night out drinking? Or snorting coke.
It's still a personal choice. Lifting weights is sort of like brushing your teeth. You don't have to, but you can prevent a lot of problems if you do. That being said if you really hate lifting and really want to smoke, you are obviously free to choose for yourself. But you'll look and feel worse.

Well, I would feel much better if I went to bed at 10 pm, woke up with the sun, get some yoga. But I prefer to drink some wine, smoke some cigaretes, go out and have fun.

Don't know if I would be happier lifting weights at 7 am, I might feel healthier, don't know if I were more happy.

It might be that in your life lifting weights is like bushing teeth, not in mine. You might live longer and be healthier when older, or you might get hit by a car, who the fuck knows? For me it's enough that I have a day job which takes part most of my day to add something I really don't like to it more.

Which is why I said it's still a personal choice.

As for feeling happier.. You sound depressed when posting on this forum. Lots of people have reported that they feel happier after lifting. I do too personally. Part of that is no doubt the hormones that are released after, I guess @Zacheryah might know more.

Generally I'd say I lift for long term health, but also because I like doing it and because of immediate positive effects (let's face it, we are all vain).

Oh and I abhor yoga and any form of stretching exercise.

Well, I'm just annoyed with the forum, that's all. I think X became an asshole without limits and I hate that they censor things here, by they I mean X.

On another note, the only thing in life that annoys me now is that we cant find a decent drummer replacement and that I would have less work time and same money, but that is nothing to complain and is normal. Everytheng else is awesome, I'm engaged with a women that I love, we have started our own band and are imprioving each day, the summers here, I'm planing a trip on a motor bike cross scandinavia and generally everything is really great.

The forum is run by a dictator who is even afraid to call himself one, that's my only gripe :p

And since I'm on 8 points, wouldn't be surprised that I get a vacation from the forum too :D

Once you figure out how it works I'd say dating is far easier for men than it is for women. If you're a guy, going to the gym is enough to look okay. If you stand up for yourself and aren't afraid to talk to women, it is then only a matter of time before you come across someone who is interested in you. If you're an ugly woman though, that is pretty much impossible to overcome. I know it's harsh, but it is what it is.
Though what men look for in women in serious relationships is intrinsic to them while women will gravitate more towards the material. Obviously attractive economics says you date within your league.

Past 30, you have to lift as a man from a hormonal perspective

Meditation too?

It's something I always think I should try out, but never actually do
I started doing meditation as well.:agree:

I do it between noon and 2:00pm everyday. Helps me focus in the office now that my projects have slowed down, keeps me sane. But it is difficult and it takes a lot of time before it even becomes useful.

Some sound advice from Deneb there. :D

But seriously though, women are not that complex. We don't ask for much: i.e. Stay faithful, compliment us once in a while, have intelligent things to say, be nice to us, communicate at least once a day, don't bother to open your mouth when we are PMSing and you are good to go.
Risa is back :weee: And then she drops this condensed wisdom bomb.

Hope you're doing well!

It's not that easy though. You present it as if staying faithful is enough. You have to stay faithful whilst demonstrating that you could stray if you wanted to, but you don't want to.
