I don't know why people, especially Americans, think Europeans are so united. We hate eachother and where I live, we have more in common with Americans than Eastern and Southern Europe.
I asked this German guy at work if he had watched France monday morning, he said he doesn't waste his time watching the "enemy" and fuck France.

They don't even get along with each other in Italy FFS  Forget about Northern and Southern Italy, even people from the same region fucking despise each other

Yeah, one gets the impression that some of them perceive Greece and Norway as Oregon and Massachusetts. Different states in a federal republic. But since we're all the same country we sing our version of the Star Spangled Banner (in our European language) and we support Europe against the other countries at the WC.
It goes to the point that Andy wishes the European Texas, also known as Russia, to lose the WC hosting because it's a European state, despite the fact that fuckin Yekaterinburg (one of the venues where matches will be played) is more than twice closer to Mongolia and China than it is to Spain, Italy or Croatia.

Exactly, this country is very Americanizzzzed, we have far greater relations and tied culture than with the French, who are a slither of water away.
