Did you honestly expect people and hypocrisy would all of a sudden no longer walk hand-in-hand :p
I actually missed Alen's earlier post -- I was trying to say some similar things (though not exactly the same).

What's it matter, south americans are all basically spaniards.
Nope. Brazil is bigger than all Spaniard countries combined and we got little to no people with Spaniard heritage. I know that in the US anyone from SA is basically categorized as Hispanic but we're not and we do not share the same culture.

    We're Portuguese/Italian/German/Japanese/African among other things...

And the Surinamese are mostly Dutch and Indonesian, Guiana is primarily East Indian, French Guiana is kinda -- well -- French, Peru has had Japanese presidents and vice presidents given their curious Japanese population, both Peru and Bolivia have massive indigenous populations...

iberian and spanish are interchangeably used, the languages/culture/religion are close enough. and historically and technically hispanic does cover portugal; so pretty much brazucas are hispanic
Probably true by the Roman Hispania, but who remembers that?

In the circles I know, no Portuguese consider themselves hispanic or latino. The the sentiment among hispanics and latinos is frequently mutual.

neither would a spaniard, but thats a completely different subject.

I just personally dont see brazil 'outside' of south america culturally.

i have and all over south america too, and i still hold that belief you are not :D the people i found most outside from the the little time i encountered were bolivians.
We'll agree to disagree then :D Another thing is this whole " hispanic latino community". Here in the US as you probably know, latinos will probably surpass the white European in numbers in the next couple of decades.

And living here for half my life i can tell you with certainty, we're not included. We're not part of it. We aren't seen or accepted as one of them just because of a different language.

neither are argentines or chileans for that matter, i think latino in the US is by and large central america. They have had a tradition for immigrating to the US for over a 100 years. While brazil, argentina, and chile were actually US wannabes and welcoming immigrants by the boatload.

I would say chile, argentina(uruguay too), and brazil have enjoyed more stability, better standards of education and economy which kinda set them apart anyway.

Iran attempted just 130 passes against Argentina, the fewest made by a team in a World Cup match since 1966.

so what, i thought they still played a pretty good game and could've gotten a point if they had only been a little more lucky with that Messi shot.

Although from the two games Argentina played, I have to say I'm not impressed at all.

You may as well be Italien.

This means they'll probably win the WC then.

Germany nearly choked hard. They need to abandon this false 9 crap and play with an out and out striker like Klose. Stop sucking the Barca cock.

Poor Bosnia, really thought they'd have a much better tournament than this. Hard luck to their great fans.

pirlo alone had a 100 passes in italy's first game, the whole iranian team could only muster 130 of them. This has nothing to do with effectiveness, it's a joke a team would have 130 passes all game long.
130 passes in 90 minutes of football! Tragic. Hopefully this doesn't replace tiki taka as the new football.
