:lol2: thats fucking maradona, who on god's earth is on your avatar?
I don't know what has my avatar to do with the discussion. You keep on mentioning it and I explained why I have him in my avatar. I don't really care if my reasons convinced you or not, apparently they didn't because you wanted me to come up with something out of the ordinary.

I will humour you because this will not end otherwise, the Germans are a bunch of cheating divers, they won over the tactically superior Argentina in a very unfair way. Such a shame because Maradona, the manager with tactics out of the ordinary, could have made his team of young unproven players lift the trophy with ease.

Here you go. I'm done with this discussion about avatars and ordinary coaches.

you dont need to humor me you just need to remember/quote correctly what i said and try to answer it and not something you actually concoct yourself and of course actually answer the question because bullshit i can smile a light year away, as for the avatars i actually dont know who germany's coach is, i dont know his name(why should I?) so i keep on referring to the man on your avatar. So again how is "germany's coach"(who is of course not the guy on your avatar) admirable all of a sudden? it took 2 games?

An article from Martin Samuel. I don't really like this guy as he is clueless about Italian football and I've replied to several of his articles concerning Juventus, but I agree with several things he says here, about England and Germany, the difference between the sides:

Forget the kidology... England must start producing total footballers

You win nothing with kids, said Alan Hansen, and nobody has let him forget it. If Germany progress beyond Spain at this World Cup, expect him to be mockingly reminded of that famous quote again.

The irony is Hansen wasn’t wrong. Germany arrived at the tournament with the youngest squad beyond Ghana and North Korea and, now established as the form team, it is understandable that great attention is being paid to the freshness of players such as Mesut Ozil and Thomas Muller.

There is a lesson here for all, we are told, and particularly England. Yet a stellar youth team is often a triumph of happenstance.

Manchester United have not changed procedure substantially in the last 20 years, but have never produced a group of players as strong as David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt. The odd one or two come through, but never five at once.

For all we know, this may be Germany’s moment now. Their system works, obviously, but the quality of the raw material could be the bounty of a single point in time.

In England, we have no ideas of our own, so we steal like magpies from other nests.

When the Italian league was strongest, we went on a diet of grilled meat and pasta, then France were world champions and we had to have our own Clairefontaine.

Spain won the European Championship in 2008 and Argentina’s Lionel Messi assumed the title of the best player in the world, so the Barcelona academy and Mighty Atom midfield players became our holy grail.

Now Germany are in the ascendancy, so Vorsprung durch Technik, as we will no doubt be chanting at our academies this morning as we wait in line for bad haircuts.

The real lesson for English football, though, comes from Germany’s older generation, players such as Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm and Arne Friedrich.

OK...still getting my crap together here in Cape Town. But damn, if our tickets to tomorrow's match aren't seriously kick-ass...

At block 100, row 1, seats 2 & 3, my wife and I are basically sitting above the exit tunnel from the locker rooms. Anybody wanna pay me to take a dump on Cavani as he walks through?

Well, we might bring out a massive Portugal flag to wave over it -- just to unsettle the Dutch and keep the match close. :p :weee:

Awesome Greg. That stadium is greatness itself only a step down from the Massive, genuine, grand and superb Durban stadium :D

Anyway, have a blast man and make sure to keep the jumping, dancing and the flag waving ongoing.

People here told me awesome things about the stadium in Durban. So the Germany-Spain event is going to be no small affair.

But look for a dork dropping his pants over the players as they come in and out of the locker room. Too bad I don't have a huge Juve flag on me...

You should be able to find one of those at some local football shops in the city, I've found them in parts of the world you would struggle to buy a chocolate and ships at :shifty:

Oh and as for stadiums, the port Elizabeth one is also something. And that while "bridge/railway" certainly added a lot to the whole construction. I even read that they use it for some electric cars to go above it for a romantic unmissable view.

The guy in my avatar is the Germany coach who I admired since he was Klinsmann's assistant in 2006.
