What's up with all the hate towards the dutch?

First Robben now Sneijder, the hate here really takes switches from team to team and player to player over here.
No one is hating the Dutch. I'd like them to win. I don't hate Sneijder or Robben either. I just really don't like them. They may be the most influential players on their team, but my reasons for liking Holland go far beyond the squad anyway.

It's just that Sneijder has been really arrogant lately.

People usually just need something to bitch about. Plenty of people just check who's playing next and find some sort of reason to hate this or that player. See if they can get some sort of reaction or something, I guess.

Sneijder is arrogant, but he's always been arrogant. He's not my favourite player either, personality wise.

I see.

I haven't seen comments from Sneijder asides from the maradona-dunga one and still if he was asked about van marwijk i think he's entitled to say that he'd rather have him than maradona or dunga, afterall he was praising his coach not looking down on the other two.

"There was a big mistake in the transcription and in the various translations of my words. In the interview I never reported directly to Maradona and Dunga, for whom I have great respect for because of what they have done for both their work as technicians.

"In the interview, I just talked about the differences that exist between coaches, each of us cannot be equal to one another. I regret a lot of misunderstandings that have been given to my words."

The Dutch football federation, KNVB, have also released a statement that reads, "Sneijder didn't say the word 'idiot'." Helden have also removed the word "idiots" from the interview on their official website.

Okay, back to being classy. Way to go, Wesley

I don't think we're talking about the same incident. Which game are you talking about?
I don't remember which game, but that's the only comment I could think of. When he was told he was voted man of the match, and said that.

I assumed you meant that one.

It was after the game against Denmark and Sneijder wasn't joking. He said he thought he deserved to be man of the match after his second half performance (which was very poor too). He has always been like this, I know, and this is why I don't like him.

Though I agree about him being arrogant, I'm fairly sure he actually was joking in that case. But I can't say anything more about it, as I'm not 100% sure.

So meh.

Uruguay are no joke too, Holland are rightfully favorites but they shouldn't be cocky heading into this.
The problem is that everyone has been saying we're in South-Africa for only one thing: Winning the WC.

Now players say we want to win the thing and they're really optimistic, but they have been since day one. They said the same things before the Brazil game, saying how they assume to play again the week after. Positive thinking, hoping for a good result.

Nobody noticed those comments then, but now we're playing Uruguay it's arrogance. Meh, it's how it goes.
