I'm not at all familiar with your matches apart from big tournaments, so maybe I am indeed missing the entire point here.
Like you said, your first half was pretty awful. But they way you changed the approach to the game in the 2nd half was exactly what I would have done as a coach (including those subs), hence me thinking Bradley did a great job at reading the game & turning it around entirely.
Now if you say that you always have the tendency to start games like this, then there's obviously a big problem.
My main complaint about Torres was that he wasn't in sync with the rest of the team (if that makes any sense). He was playing his own game, while the other 9 players had a different approach. But I guess that's pretty much in line with how you saw it as well. While I see that as a major flaw, I guess you could also see it as a positive thing.
