Pope's was indeed a second yellow, but Pablo's was his first foul of the game and was only a late tackle with no intent to injure. The inconsistancy of that call and others only gives more evidences for banning the referee from World Cup matches forever.
first foul, second foul that's relative. He deserved the red card anyway.

I don't get it how a squad begins a game with intentions of no less than war and ends up whining because they were robbed. Any ref would have sent 5 Americans off and given Italy a penalty. I just don't get you.

Anyways, Forza Ghana!

De Rossi immature? Sure. De Rossi immature? Sure.

But how on earth is it mature to give away an advantage like the USA did? It was 11 against 10, you had just gotten the equaliser and what do you do? You got a stupid red card. In the second half you get an even dumber second red. How is that smart? Is it heroic to play with 9 men? No it was just plain stupid.

You the better side? :howler: Bunch of kids.

Oh and I forgot 2002 and 2004 were clean ;).
A red card that was certainly not deserved.

I find it quite amusing you're trying to lecture us on maturity and playing with a man up when we had only nine men for essentially half of the match. Considering that, and considering our opponents were Italy FFS, I think the bigger joke was Italy in the second half.

We were indeed the better side, there's no doubt about it.

And you Azzurri 'supporters' shouldn't be talking about how we played rough when your own De Rossi made the dirtiest play of the game. Sulk it up, douchebags.

Pirlo's foot hurt sooooo much that he popped up 30 seconds later for the restart. The point is that it was a only a late tackle and other players have only recieved a yellow card for such tackles. Pirlo and the other members of the Italian National Theater do not deserve such gifts.

are you joking? that challenge on pirlo cud of easily caused a career threatening injury, only that hes a hard ass unlike u p*ssy americans

:howler: God, you're so fucking biased.

Not surprising though...you're a Belgian Azzurri supporter.

Seems like you were watching your own version heavily influenced by your juvenile brain.

You were only playing with 9 men because of your immaturity FFS. That clearly was my point all along. Iaquinta missed an easy tap in, Keller did the impossible and saved Del Piero's effort. Italy sucked though. And De Rossi should be sent home. Nevertheless the USA ridiculed football by their "performance" today. They were even worse than Italy, they just kicked everyone down.

Fuck you, you no class cuntstick. Way to start the nation insulting. What the fuck do you know? Can you unwrap your lips from Totti's member long enough to focus on the television? Once you master that you'll see that Italy were outplayed by a group whose bags were supposedly packed.

Lousy game by Italy though even worse from the US. Good game from Del Piero, he deserved to score one.

Despite what you lot I don't think the ref had such a bad game, but it wasn't good, just okay. I think all the calls were correct except the US second yellow (if he didn't have a card earlier I think it would be an okay booking though) and the fact that he denied Italy the victory when he didn't blow the whistle on Iaquintas obvious penalty. I don't think he should be blamed though, even if Italy was the better team a draw isn't such an unfair result.

Now this group is a hell of an open one. All the teams in it has a good chance of going throw to the next round.

Oh sure, I'm the biased one. I'm the one that has been screaming foul before this game had even begun. The USA were plain idiots and when you could take it all you gave it away. Cherish your futile point, cherish it. Plain stupid if you ask me.

Enron, Italy weren't even close to being outplayed. You can say a lot about this game, but Italy being outplayed isn't one of them. Try to show some objectivity despite being American.
