Ridiculous refereeing. Yes, should be shot at the spot. Clear cut penalty on Iaquinta as well. FIFA, you're idiots and the WC shouldn't be organised until a decent warrant for high standard refereeing can be given.

full time. That's a match I wont forget.

Italy had everything in hand, and gave it away, then the US did the same.

Physically the US were stronger. That's what helped them. Saw how Donovan was running like a rabbit, and the Azzurri was just looking at him?

A lot of dubious calls, but I think the 3 red cards were good calls, so was the cancelled goal.

Del Piero did not take his chance. He had the ball often, but could have done more with it. Italy without any ideas.
I beg your pardon?

Italy had FOUR chances:

Chance 1: Del Piero passes to Zambrotta, who puts it in front of goal.

Chance 2: Pirlo passes it to Del Piero who can just brilliantly flick it on, but it doesn't end up in the back of the net thanks to an equally brilliant save.

Chance 3: Del Piero receives the ball from Gattuso and puts it in front of goal for an easy tap in, but Iaquinta fails

Chance 4: Del Piero shoots from distance.

How is Del Piero not the creative one?

The Ref was the best man on the pitch. In a very hot headed game he was calm and did not have too many mistakes. Iaqunta should have made that penalty much more obvious by diving or stopping.

Assassination sounds clean. Like a lone gun shot. I don't want to do it clean. It has to be one big painful mess.

The 3 red cards were just. Everything else was wrong.

Sorry, I don't agree. He had some good actions, but very often he had the ball, passed it to somebody without creating anything and ran to three US defenders which means he was not available to be passed to. He could have done more to catch a place in the starting11. I stand behind that opinion.

If Italy has four chances and Del Piero's the instigator behind every one of them, that means something.

Self destruction at it's best. So what excuses will the italians have of they fail to qualify? They palyed a lousy game, the US had more desire & should have won this game. Too much diving by the italians .... Especially Toni, a man of his size goes down way too easily.
