well if i have to believe goal.com ujfalusi practically offered himself to juve. i think he's very good offensively but in the center he has made the occasional error. but then again i should stop thinking in cannavaro and thuram terms so he would be a good addition. you know i even had to make my peace with boumsong :D

Ujo and Flamini are the best free transfer in the market I believe at the moment.
I agree,we should do the utmost to sign them, very solid players who would increase the quality of our team in depth especially since we will play CL next season. Both of them got the potential to be starters in here and both of them are a level above our last free signings like Kovac and Salihamidzic. But I doubt Secco got what it takes to pick up these kind of free players.I hope he proves me wrong though.

    Yep, I think so too.

Another article about Van der Vaart and Huntelaar NOT moving anywhere in January and talk of a possibilty of these two player moving to Juventus in SUMMER. It needs a translation though.

I really don't we will sign anyone in January, just like Ranieri and BOD said...

I can only see us selling some of the fringe players like Olivera and Boumsong...

but selling these squad players would leave us really short, if we ship faces out then i fully expect us to make moves to get players in

Juve 'sign' Van Der Vaart Friday 4 January, 2008
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus reportedly have a £11m deal to sign Rafael Van Der Vaart from Hamburg in June and could confirm it as early as next week.

According to German newspapers, negotiations for the wide man have been successful and a five-year contract drawn up.

Although Van Der Vaart would only make the move in July, it is claimed the two clubs could make the details official as early as next week ahead of a medical in Turin.

His contract with Hamburg expires in July 2009, but he has refused all offers to renew the deal, so a sale is necessary to avoid releasing the player for a fixed £1m fee.

Van Der Vaart’s price-tag could rise further after Euro 2008, as he is set to star in Italy’s group for Holland and in the Bundesliga has already netted 26 goals in 59 games.

So Juventus are diving in early with a bid of £11m to snap up the young Dutch talent with a tempting five-year contract.

The Bianconeri are looking for a reinforcement in midfield and had also been linked with the likes of Eder Banega, Ivanovic and Frank Lampard.

Van Der Vaart has already hinted at his preference for the Turin giants. “I can already see myself in a Juventus shirt,” he told local newspapers.

German Media is full of "van der Vaart to Juve?" articles and in German forums the HSV fans are going crazy, insulting Juve as a boring club with no fans in the ranks, corupt and unattractive. Some of them are even saying that HSV is a bigger club than Juventus:lol:. Anyways,I hope we get vdV just for the sake of the pissed HSV-fans :D. But as Ibra9 mentioned the Milito case could repeat and we buy another playmaker(Diego? :eyebrows:)
