Not too make things worse but Giovinco is still young, with very little experience on the high level, so his injury proneness is perhaps yet to be revealed. His physique is not reassuring, that's for sure..

But that's really a pessimistic outcome, if they all get injured at the same time, then fuck it! Zanetti, Marchisio, Nocerino, Salihamidzic and long ball fiesta towards Trezeguet and we'll get by. :D
:D .. Zebina will love that .. if he stays .. :p

Agree with you Lion, it's too risky .. but still it's mouth watering ;) .. and ya no need to be an extra pessimist ..

and on a side note, Iaquinta is just to weak against flu viruses .. not really injury proneness .. he still can train, right ?

Iaquinta's injuries aren't serious, but he does tend to miss a game or 2 every month. this would not be really concerning had Iaquinta not become an important player for us.

and yeah Vlatko, long balls it would be again:p. If Tiago stays then there is some hope for creativity should my injury scenario happen though.

The Dutch playmaker, who is certain to leave the Bundesliga at the end of the season, has been linked with a transfer to the Bianconeri for several weeks now.

“I can already see myself playing for Juventus,” Van der Vaart told German newspaper 'Bild’ this weekend.

“I know that Juve are interested in me and have been after me since the summer. They are one of the most important clubs in the world, they have prestige and are very intriguing.”

Although it was believed that Van der Vaary would stay at Hamburg until the end of the campaign, 'Bild’ is today suggesting that a transfer could indeed go through in January.

The newspaper claims that if Juventus offered £11m for the 24-year-old and offered him a five-year contract, this would be enough to bag their man.

Juventus are well known to be in the market for a top-class midfielder, following the disappointing form of big money summer signings Sergio Almiron and Tiago Mendes.

That all sounds great in theory but...I don't know..It's not like VDV is 30 and we'll get him untill Giovinco matures, he's young as well with a long (possible) future at the club.

Lets play pretend here and say in the beginning rotation would be a rational and effective solution. What after a year, or two, when Giovinco becomes a world class AMC, on par with VDV? Then what the heck will we do? You can't rotate two class players, neither will accept that. The team is shaped around that type of player, you can't rotate that position. The best bet is to make them learn to play together, while Giovinco is so young it could be a possibility.

All in all I really want VDV but not at the expense of Giovinco.
We do the same thing we did with Baggio and Del Piero sell the former and replace him with the latter.

Or just pull a Zidane and sell Van Der Vart to Madrid for £40m!!

Though im sure we can play both.. Im mean Barca find space for Ronaldinho and Messi.

TBH, Giovinco is a very talented player, but you lot are already pllanning the next 20 scudettos, 15 CL trophys, the World Cup and the trip to Mars with him.

I mean, that's all good, but there are so mayn things that can happen that can ruin his career, or maybe he'll just stop growing as a player and always stay at his current level, which is nowhere near world class.

It would be stupid to hold off from buying world class players now in hope that Giovinco mioght become world class in 5 years.

If we want to get the best from Giovinco then play him and don't buy a world class player in his position, because it is his time to play, he is no kid anymore, in 5 years he will be almost an old player!
