If my friend would only shout at me, surely I wouldn't mind telling him the truth. but as I see it, he is bound to believe the girl more than me, and put her above me.. at least thats the case according to the current situation. so im afraid should i try to tell him the truth he would somehow be in a denial case and our already damaged friendship could be in further trouble than it already is, and it's quite hard to patch things up from there... so I would rather let him know the truth himself. by that we could save our friendship more.

this doesn't make sense does it.

No, you do make sense, Sally. Not every situation is the same and if you're worried that saying this will damage the friendship beyond salvation (even though it's the "right" thing to do), then that's just a choice you have to make.

Personally I think you should just leave them to it. He sounds like a bit of a prick and he's obviously not the type of friend you could do with, plus you were told the information in confidence by this girl, its not at all fair on her if you go spurting it all out, since its bound to get back to her eventually
