Juve: Trezegol stays

Eurosport - Michael FitzGerald - 30/08/2006 09:33

Disgraced Italian giants Juventus have insisted striker David Trezeguet will be staying at the Stadio delle Alpi, despite reported interest from Manchester United. The Premiership club are said to have offered 22 million euros for the France international.

Juve director Alessio Secco was quoted by Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport as saying: “David will stay with is. He is happy in Turin. Even if he's a little downhearted, he'll stay.”

28 year-old Trezeguet is reportedly keen on a move after Juventus were relegated to Serie B following the 'calciopoli' match fixing scandal, and his father Jorge - who also acts as his agent – is said to have been discussing a possible transfer with representatives of Manchester United last weekend.

The English club are still looking for a striker after the departure of Ruud van Nistelrooy to Real Madrid.

the media have been exagerating trez's situation. it's natural that he's disapointed but he loves this club and if he stays he's gonna prove it.

"David rimane anche se è triste". E spunta il Chelsea. Il ds Secco stoppa Trezeguet. Intanto dopo il Manchester ci prova anche Abramovich. Lucarelli la prima alternativa, c'è pure l'olandese Huntelaar.

La difesa barcolla: potrebbe arrivare un altro centrale, Felipe dall'Udinese o Faty dal Rennes. Il Real Madrid si è fatto avanti per Zebina.

Read on calciomercato.com

It seems that Chelsea is after Trez. The first sub for Trez is Lucarelli or Huntelaar.

And for the defense are Felipe or Faty in Pole.

It seems only a rumour. But i will agree to sell Trez for 25 mio and buy huntelaar for 12 and Felipe for 10 mio.

And we are interested to Esposito from Cagliari. 6 mio + Zala or Palladino our offer. DD will play with 2 half-forward and one bomber. lite a 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-3.
To replace Trez i will agree to suazo too

I say sell Trezeguet if we actually buy useful players with that money. If we don't it'd be a huge mistake even in this financial situation.

Never mind Serie fucking B.

Enjoy the basement, mind the rats and spiders on your way down.

Italy are campioni del mondo though. And whereas the Italian Serie A actually has top level teams, Ajax is just about as good as Anderlecht at this point in time. Serie A is exactly what Holland's national team needs anyway.

Yep i agree with Bozi. Let make a pre-contract for next year with huntelaar. C'mon guys if it was not this year it will be next or in 2 years that Trez will leave us...so letz look now around for the right sub. And the right sub has the name of jan-klaas huntelaar. The new Van Basten :p ok probably not but something like the new Van Nistelrooy.

Oh I have no illusions about the quality of the Eredivisie or Ajax. Remember who you're talking to here.

Our national team needs Serie A? I don't know what that means
