The only player I really wish we could get is Maresca

Is Maresca a Fiorentina player or do Juve still have a share of him? Really wanna see him back here, he gave his all which is what the Juve team kinda lacks in general.

Totally agree, imo Mresca is a great player, young Italian midfielder who is giving his best all the time.

I really don't understand something,In roma they always bawl how they are in financial crisis, but they are buying good players and manage to keep Totti for the salary which is yearly equal to the price of one decent player.

Del Neri to Palermo (not Chievo)

Vogel (not Fogel) to Milan

Kuffour to Roma

Solari to Inter

And Juve's transfers are done for the summer, according to Moggi, yeah sure !

New Palermo boss Gigi Del Neri believes he can combine exciting attacking football with good results.

The tactician has officially been unveiled as the club’s new boss following the resignation of Francesco Guidolin last week.

"Palermo have great ambitions and you can be certain that the team will play an attacking brand of football," he stated.

"I thank the President for the opportunity he is giving me. I obviously hope to do well by continuing the excellent work of Guidolin.

"I only promise hard work and seriousness but I do believe that we can achieve something important in the space of two years."

Del Neri caught the eye of many football fans thanks to his stunning 4-4-2 football which took little Chievo to the higher echelons of the Italian game.

But Del Neri, who was sacked by Porto and then resigned as Roma boss last season, insists he’s looking to build something new at the Stadio Barbera.

"It won’t be like my Chievo even if that fact that I have a few of my former players (such as Eugenio Corini and Andrea Barzagli) here will help," he added.

"My football requires two good wingers, players with real pace. I will also always use two strikers.

"It is therefore clear that the squad needs strengthening and I think I will have about 25 players at my disposal."

Del Neri will be looking to mirror Guidolin’s success of guiding the club to a top six finish, but he also wants to make an impact in Europe.

"I hope to go far in the UEFA Cup, a prestigious competition that Palermo have up until now never played in," he concluded.

That's why they are always in crisis, they keep on spending when they should be keeping the money to themselves.

    Stupid!:D

Given a few more years and they'll become Inter Jr, except instead of Moratti Roma's transfers seem to be decided by Totti.

Hey, it may be possible for a club like Roma. They worship the player like he's above the club.

To be honest: I think we will get Davids back. I read an article on sports.it and even Moggi said, its possible but difficult. But guys, this would be another "present" by Inter and with a central midfield depth consisting of Mozart, Emerson, Davids, Gianichedda and Blasi / Tacchinardi / Appiah; our problems would be solved. Really, I want Davids back. I am dreaming about it, since the day he left.

So Chinelli is not coming? I guess this means that Zambrotta will retain his leftback position. Since I'm more keen on Nedved playing in the centre where I feel he is better off, what we might want to sign is a left winger/midfielder

Signings our rivals have made don't really include a left winger so I guess that's good news. Except for Inter, who have got Solari and he's a really good player. Would prefer a younger left winger with pace though.

A pacey left winger could really help when we hit our opponents on the counter. I wouldn't really consider most of our players very fast. The fastest player in the team would be Zamby, so a pacey left winger would really complement him

I really can't think of a player that matches my description at the moment, but playing Zambrotta left midfield and getting a solid leftback could also be an alternative. Pushing him into left midfield is not such a drastic change as it was when he was moved from right mid to left back.

A decent leftback we could get would be the unsettled Ashley Cole from Arsenal. I rate him as a leftback, and we would have to splash between 7-10 million for his services but it could be well worth it.

What worries me is that he will not settle in Turin. First the language barrier and also, Turin is no London- doesn't take a genius to figure it out ;)

Note to Giovanotti: Maresca is a good player, just that he's not young anymore. Probably 26 this year I think. Shame he doesn't want to come back to Juve but I wouldn't want to if I were him either after the treatment he's got. To be fair, he never really whinged about it like how most players do but at least he knows he can avoid being treated like shyt if he doesn't come back..

Softporn, I think you should read the news some more so you can better catch up on some things you may have missed.

    Try:

    http://www.goal.com

Anyway, Cole was just a smoke screen, I don't think we would want to buy him given that Zambrotta does just as much as Cole. And with Chiellini with the picture, are we trying to build a team revolving around our left-backs!?

The 20+M pricetag was an exaggerated valuation of the player by Arsenal just so to ward off any potential bidders while they try to renew the player's contract.

In regards to Maresca, I dont think he will be coming back because he already expressed his hate for Juve, along with Miccoli.

But if we were to sell Mutu, I would love to have Di Vaio back though. It was a realy pitty he left.

Another alarming note for me is our replacement keeper. Chimenti seems like past professional level already. I think it would be even better if we picked someone from our youth ranks.

I saw Riquelme play for argentina, and Mascherano. Both were Brilliant. Mascherano is like a younger version of Emerson, he plays good DMC, and passes well too.

But Riquelme, Man, Great passing and fantastic Goal! Attacks start from him, thats y Argentina won. HE could be something, but I think Barca have plans for him this season.

No, I don't think we're building a team around our leftbacks but it will be a more complete team. I feel Nedved doesn't have the pace to play left winger. He's a good player, can play everywhere but would put him in the centre then on the left. As a left midfielder, he can get in those crosses since he's able to use both feet well but so can Zambrotta, who is much faster. If we move Zambrotta up, we'll need a leftback

I don't think you really get my point so far. I'm trying to put a scenario where Zambrotta is not a leftback but left winger and Nedved is in the centre with Emo, so I'm confused how you came to the idea of me wanting to build my team around leftbacks

Cole has been saying he's finished with Arsenal etc etc, and he did say something that if he was to move, he would prefer Italy or Spain so he won't have to play against Arsenal. If Arsenal cannot solve their problem with him, I don't see why we can't get him for 7-10 million. Unless we could get Chinelli, who would be a cheaper option and more established in the Serie A. Also, his wages would be cheaper compared to Cole.

Did he publicly express his hate for Juve? I don't recall. Some people still want him back unlike Miccoli, who I know did express his hate for Juve. So if both of them did say the same thing, how come only 1 is hated?

    Oh yea, btw it's s0ftcore ;)
