Maybe for seasoned pros it comes easy but it sure is a challenge to me, though I have to say it's a nice excercise for the mind, debugging aside. In fact, it would be a lot more fun without debugging, that takes up way too much of my time.. :groan:
It's when you have to write a report on how to test the program that was just completed. it consists of the precedures, examples, results of the tests. It also includes the tesing program(or classes) itself!
we have to show that the program is bug free and robust!! :fero:
by giving all possible inputs and showing that the outputs or resutls match the ones expected!!
the whole process is long and tedious. imagine trying to go through all looop boundries and imagining stupid things that the user might ask for!!
We've been spared of that so far. But I got a course in "Systems engineering" which translates into designing and building a distributed system with database deployment. And you wouldn't believe all the crappy paperwork we have to do before and during the process of development, the end report is supposed to include every damn textfield explained, with domain of input declared.
