Frings would've been a very good addition to the team, but I'll not cry over it. Choosing to stay with Breman rather than join Juve shows lack of ambition to me.

Guys get over it. C'mon we are JUVE,we don't need him to return to success:) He's just an average player who didn't had the balls to prove himself in such a great team like ours!:DRemember he already failed at a big team>>Bayern!

He performed well at Bayern! I wonder why did they let him go.
I like the guy more now to be honest, it's hard to find HUMANS like him.
If we'va had that kind of players in our team we would be stronger now!
It's not like we haven't....

In an interview Frings said that he already had an agreement with Juve and that he was already packing his bags. I hope our management didn't drop other options, because they were sure he would come to us.

Frings rejects Juventus transfer Wednesday 9 May, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus look set to miss out on Torsten Frings after he extended his contract with current club Werder Bremen.

The German international was being heavily paired with the Bianconeri after he and the Old Lady admitted that he was a target for the 2007-08 campaign.

But Frings, who was rumoured to have recently travelled to Turin, has committed his future to the Bundesliga giants today.

“I received a great offer from Juventus, but Werder are an affair of the heart for me,” said Frings on Wednesday to the club’s website.

The 30-year-old, whose previous contract expired in 2009, is now tied to Bremen until 2011 in a deal reportedly worth £2.8m per year.

“I am pleased as we can keep counting on an extraordinary player,” said sporting director Klaus Allofs, whose side is still in the race for this year’s Bundesliga title.

The midfielder, who returned to Werder in 2005 after two seasons with Borussia Dortmund and one at Bayern Munich, was one of Germany’s key players in their third place finish at the World Cup.

Frings scored Germany’s fourth goal in their 4-2 win against Costa Rica in the opening match of the tournament, but missed the semi-final against Italy through suspension after a fight with Julio Cruz in the quarter-final with Argentina

the strange thing here and the very disappointing is that this lose similar to Mascherano and am sure similar to Klose one too....the way we lost those three are similar ..once we could say it's a done deal..specially when Secco and DD are talking about the same player ..and especially those three ...and we lost them all....i think we have problem in Secco himself ...as we are not convinced that young players can't represent us next season ..same to Secco...he isn't up to the level yet ..and he must gain some experience...but sadly ....we are to suffer ...and this goes to DD too he will gian experience but in the expense of us ....and we are to suffer too....

Frings to stay in Bremen until 2011 - no Juve move dpa German Press Agency
Published: Wednesday May 9, 2007

Hamburg- Germany midfielder Torsten Frings will stay at
Bundesliga club Werder Bremen until 2011 and not move on to Italian
giants Juventus in summer, Kicker sports magazine said on Wednesday.
Kicker said on its website that Frings informed club officials on
Tuesday that he will stay. The report said he will get a massive pay
rise to 4 million euros per year (5.4 million dollars) in the new
contract.

"Werder is a matter of the heart for me. I considered my future
for a long time," Frings told the online edition of Kicker.

Frings returned to Bremen in 2005 after stints at Borussia
Dortmund and Bayern Munich. His current contract runs until 2009.

The midfielder had an offer from Juventus for a summer move. He
visited the Turin club last month, but eventually decided against a
move to Italy.

The news will add to Bremen's confidence on the home stretch of
the Bundesliga title race. Bremen rank third with two games to play,
trailing leaders Schalke by two points and VfB Stuttgart by one
point.

Frings contract renewal came a week after striker Miroslav Klose
said he will not the leave the club either and fulfil his contract
until 2008.
