New Juventus coach Thiago Motta has gone to extra length to make everyone feel valued at Juventus’ training centre, as he intends to learn the names and details of every member of in-house staff at Continassa.
Thiago Motta wants to be on first-name basis with everybody at Juventus
The former Bologna coach has requested labelled photographs of every club employee, so that he can learn them off by heart, according to reports form La Gazzetta dello Sport.

There are estimated to be around 70-80 members of non-playing or coaching staff on the ground in Turin.

Motta intends to speak on a first-name basis with medical staff, groundspeople, kitmen and employees in the cafeteria, among others.

It is a tactic that Motta also employed when he first started at Bologna back in 2022, which reportedly went down a treat. It is also part of creating a culture where everybody feels valued, trusted and respected.

The coach arrived back in Italy on Sunday following a lengthy summer vacation, He then got back to work immediately, touring the club’s facilities and headquarters on Monday.

Goes with what I said about Motta's human skills, I may have really disliked him as a player but I really like his attention to detail.
Our former President and his deputy also wanted to be on first-name basis with everybody at Juventus.

So that they could easily find out the names of their wives.

Can someone elaborate on the coaching staff? Like did allegri left with all of this personnel? Does Motta have his own people now running the training ground?

Yes Motta brought his own staff. I mentioned particular attention to Simon Collinet who is the fitness trainer and held in very high regards with his intensity training.

None of Allegri's staff including physios is involved with the first team, they all either left or moved to the youth sector in particular Magnagnelli and Padoin.

That’s a relief. Nip it in the bud.

some of the resistance training I saw on YT looked really intense, nothing similar to what we saw under allegri

why people here acting like motta invented something new with his play full back as cb/cb as full back thing?

it's essentially a hybrid 3 cb system where the fullback tucks in to act a cb....same system that pirlo played in 2020/2021.

These are most use Motta's formation on paper especially both on the top, almost most of Bologna's game using 4-2-3-1 and 4-1-4-1 (a more cautious form of 4-3-3, basically 4-3-3). Motta rarely using 4-4-2 with double pivot but he did use in some games

"I completely agree with the need to win, like any big club. I know I have a lot of responsibility to win but it's a great responsibility. I want to express the motivation and enthusiasm to the players. I want to compete against any team"
