Calm down guys. It's just Day 1. I like the vibe also but remember Sarri on his first day here turning the training camp into circus with all his fancy sessions? lol
Sarri is and always was an uncharismatic cunt, he had absolutely fuck all care or respect about the club from day 1. Motta you can already see is a levels ahead on just a human level alone, he has a way of connecting with people that I don't see in alot of managers, a trait which i think is vitally important when managing people, and especially when you are trying to get people on board with your ideas which one of the reasons why I was wanting Motta for a long time.

@Alen

You were so right about Badass football knowledge.
I'm tough with him sometimes, but he knows that I'm always just. He has a vast football knowledge, unmeasurable to anyone else's here, and I am always gonna promote him for that. Just as I'm gonna smack him every time he's mistaken. @Badass J Elkann knows this and that's why he accepts both the compliments and the kicks from me like a man.

To be honest I am not that surprised. Motta's full backs are not that adventurous going forward and if perhaps one of the two might be.

I suspect if for example the back 4 is - Gatti-Danilo-Bremer-Cambiaso. I suspect that when in possession, Danilo and/or Cambiasso will be venturing forward a bit like how Califiori did for Bologna - leaving Gatti and Bremer to stay back when in possession.

In 3 days: Reports from Continnassa that players are sick of Motta and they want to drive him out of the club.
Other reports pointing to his modern mentality and that they already trained with the ball too, so not sure what to make of it, his sessions are rumored to be very hard and intense but atm it might be more of a case of just being midway through summer and the hot weather taking it’s toll too.

I have mixed feelings about working the players so hard. On the one hand it’s great they are working them hard to increase fitness…. But I worry about injuries and fatigue over a long season
It actually works the other way around. With proper and hard preseason the players bodies adapt better and you have less injuries.

So now part success/blame for Motta as manager will be his training methods? I always thought less injuries occur in all sports from training hard enough to get you at peak physical condition? All i remember from soccer friends on HS team in late summer initial practice being jogging so more laps around the field that they were near fainting from exhaustion. My concern if his game strategy works!

Like any new coach of Juve, Motta has all my confidence success will happen. My advice for training would be copy this guy's regiment. If correct in assuming, believe he trained his balls off!

New Juventus coach Thiago Motta has gone to extra length to make everyone feel valued at Juventus’ training centre, as he intends to learn the names and details of every member of in-house staff at Continassa.
Thiago Motta wants to be on first-name basis with everybody at Juventus
The former Bologna coach has requested labelled photographs of every club employee, so that he can learn them off by heart, according to reports form La Gazzetta dello Sport.

There are estimated to be around 70-80 members of non-playing or coaching staff on the ground in Turin.

Motta intends to speak on a first-name basis with medical staff, groundspeople, kitmen and employees in the cafeteria, among others.

It is a tactic that Motta also employed when he first started at Bologna back in 2022, which reportedly went down a treat. It is also part of creating a culture where everybody feels valued, trusted and respected.

The coach arrived back in Italy on Sunday following a lengthy summer vacation, He then got back to work immediately, touring the club’s facilities and headquarters on Monday.

Goes with what I said about Motta's human skills, I may have really disliked him as a player but I really like his attention to detail.
