Yes we got blown away, mostly because no creativity without aquilani and two holding midfielders, no striker, illustrated by amauri's sub at halftime, and well, no fullbacks.

The thing is, great teams are build from the back.
We have a good central pair, chiello beeing the best in the world considering his pace, our midfield is pretty good when they are all fit to play, but not having two fullbacks to count on really hurts the entire team. the wingers are forced to do alot more work, nerfing us going forward. and because of that we need more work from the attackers, at the moment beeing terribad amauri, and aging del piero who cant run the entire pitch.

If we get two quality fullbacks, we got a very strong organisation to build on, and in front there is quag, and a young talent in piazon.as prima punta there is toni. He is old yes, and very italian, but what good is a striker that scores 1 goal every match, when we concede 2 due to our backs ?

the budged to the fullbacks, and thats it. If possibale, some loan deal for a striker. cant we loan gillardino or something, if he sucks we can ship him back.

There is no way Fiorentina would lon him to us .. they dont even want to sell him to us. If real don't sign Adebayor we could probably loan him from City .. and if they do sign Adebayor, then we can go for Benzema (but I would buy him)

I think Adebayor is a really good player but I would imagine Real would prob sign him to a deal at the end of the season and sell Benzema. Either one of those players would walk into our team and actually score goals and provide a legit threat in the box. Both are on massive wages but i am sure we can talk them down a bit given the fact they will be starters at Juve. Also if we had to lose Amauri and Iaquinta inorder to cover one of those guys wages I would be for it. Toni can play as a back up and is on a much smaller salary then Amauri currently is.

I think the whole Juve mentality thing is in the past.. that was when our team was full of champions who won things. Beggars can't be choosers and we would do well to have some true quality in our attack.

But Amauri & Iaquinta have it? Real can't expect to recuperate half the amount they paid for Benzema with his current form & constant negative publicity. If Real are going to sell, they'd have to take a major knock in price, something they've done over & over in the past.

Whats it with the Marotta love here, I mean there's no reason to like or dislike him at this point. And how do you come up with 16 million? If you look at what he spended in terms of installments/loan paid upfronts then the number is 22M and if you look at it you look at the bigger picture then he spended 50 or 60M
