True that. But At that time we had Secco here! Not Marotta, give him the money we gave Secco and Im sure he would make us fight for the scudetto!

Benzema doesn't have the Juve quality, but Adebayor does? :lol2:
On TV during some match in the weekend I heard some rumor that Real is offering 115m eur :)shocked:) in the summer for Bale+Modric.
It really sounds unbelievable but you could never know with Real.
So Bale would take Di Maria's place who they just bought and is playing great?

I hate and envy them in the same time.
Hard to say di maria is good since spanish league is actually just barcelona and real madrid, against milan he didnt impress me.

against barcelona, he was just not good enough, and most importandly, mourinho plays a 4-2-3-1, and demands all 3 attacking midfielders to track back and do their defensive job

Christiano ronaldo, offering such immense offensive danger, is tracking back like he did back at mancherster united. ozil works defensively.

Di maria does his job, but defensively, he isnt anything like eto'o.

Bale on the other hand, is plain better in everything, and especially defensively.

Mourinho is trying to get inters defensive mastermind back in his real madrid squad, and bale is the perfect purchase.

Offcourse abdebayor also doesnt have it, but he is a realistic loan target, while madrid will never loan out benzema without the huge option to buy , full wage taken and a nice fee for the wage.
if we could loan him for the season without that, i'd be totally for it

Actually marotta had no budged at all. He managed to get rid of a few players including diego to make enough room on wages that money from the global budged could be put into transfers.
that cash was used for the permanent deals of krasic and martinez, and for the up front loan deals for pepe quag motta and aquilani.

basically : WE SPEND NOTHING, because WE GOT NOTHING from the owners.
with no cash, marotta did terrific, and if we werent fucked on the 1 eu rule, or that shithead from udinese, we'd also have a quality striker.

it turned out diffrent

The past years, we had an incompetent board, not able to strike any decent deal, that got a trainer that didnt had the same idea about players and tactics.
That board bought alot of players, who are absolutely no juventus material, and let good opportunities pass by.
When they where under pressure, they spend big on melo and amauri, gave them high wages. Melo is on of the best defensive midfielders potentially, but a dm isnt worth 25 mil, and amauri was never worth his stupid wage and transfer fee
The last installment for amauri''s fee, was payed more recent then amauri's last goal for us, go figure.

we had a high wage bill, no championsleague, and no money, and alot of players without intention to play football(grosso for example)
Marotta cleaned up the wages mes, tried to clean up the squad without cash like i mentionned above. during the summer, i hope he does another krasic for the defence and perhaps a striker.
We don't have a Clear strategy or system. The 442 'we' revert to is lazy and ineffective.
I agree with both, the 4-4-2 clearly doesn't work (is it the tactic, the coach, the players, I don't know but it doesn't work).
I also agree that, especially during the summer, Marotta did well, but the January window, in which we clearly needed a quality upgrade to reach our goal, is a big failure so far.
Look at Milan, Van Bommel, Emanuelson and Cassano for less then 7 million, that is a good transfer window.
He still has a few days to change things, but it isn't getting easer.

And then one final issue I have with Marotta:
Will he dare to fire Del Neri if things doesn't change?
DN followed him here from Samp, does he dare to fire him?

I dont think the problem is del neri

he basically is without forwards at the moment, his fullbacks are crap, and his best two midfielders are getting exhausted from long consecutive matchers.

the players milan signed, wel milan are league leaders and likely in quarterfinal champions league, whilst we are struggeling. they chose the better team of the moment.

Marotta asked for cash to sign a forward adding to the team, but was denied. and getting good deals for forwards, is not easy. 300k for toni still is a good deal imo.
If only we could get a 6 months loan deal for a good ss

If DN doesn't have strikers available for a 4-4-2, he needs to change his tactics.
I'd give him 3 more matches, if it still doesn't improve, i want him out, I wonder if Marotta has the guts to do it.
We have fired a coach in the recent past that brought us to the second place ffs, why do we tolerate this then?
We failed in the EL in a group in which we would have easily been able to finished 2nd, we lost in our first difficult match in the Coppa (with players like Aquilani/krasic on the bench) and we are loosing all chances on a CL spot in one month, this has to end.
We have had less patience the last few seasons.

Ches, if we fire Delneri who would you want to take over? Giampaolo?
Lets keep Delneri for two seasons atleast, dont think we need a new project/revolution every summer :D

A foreign coach, not an italian one, someone who has an eye for players outside Italy.
Klopp would be great.

We'll probably make a swap with Celtic. Legro/Samaras.

I've seen him a couple of times but thought it was one defense. Does he have Amauri's finisihing or Trez's? :p

He would be great but he wouldnt know calcio and looking at Benitez, if you dont know calcio there's a big chance of fucking everything up.
Marotta said once why hire a foreign coach when you can have an italian who can do the job. Dont expect such a scenario.
