I think you're doing Van der Vaart short by calling him a poor man's Sneijder. I've always thought he's a bit of a different kind of player, but an excellent one anyway. We would be able to get him on the cheap most likely, for a player of his calibre.

Like Kyle said.. if he's ok with playin on a wing, it would be a great signing.
I doubt that. Anyways, if it came down to either Van der Vaart or Sneijder you're telling me you'd sign Van der Vaart? (You CANNOT consider Sylvie in this question, I'm telling you before) :D

Moussa Sissoko will be another great CM/DM discovered in Ligue 1 i believe..
I watch Essien since he was in Bastia, Keita before he went to Sevilla, also Yaya Toure when he played for Monaco.. and seem Moussa Sissoko has the same path with them.

I really want we can buy him before he go to another big club and his price increase, but we still have another priority in CB, LB, RB, AM R, and SC.. I think he will end up in one of Premier League team

I have to admit, it's not as close when Sylvie doesn't count. :p

Honestly though, if I had to pick between the two purely on skill I'd pick Sneijder, but I think that lookin at the kinda position we need a player for, vd Vaart is more suitable. Sneijder has to be in the centre, whereas I think vdVaart can do pretty well a bit more on the side. Let's not forget, it's not a 4-4-2 where we need wingers who just storm up and down the flank.

Generally speaking I think people underrate vdVaart, so thats basically why I reacted to it. I fully realise Sneijder is the more complete player.

I wouldn't mind VDV either to be honest. But no doubt once we got him he'd get injured in his first training session and wouldn't play a game for us.

Nani can fuck off. Awful player.

Yeah the poor man's Sneijder is exactly what we need.
Anyone who has watched them since their careers started would know its OBVIOUS ithat Van Der Vaart is easily the more talented and better player.

Does not mean we need him or should sign him, but you should still know whats what.

 I dutchie saying Snejder is more skilled then Van Der vaart?

Seriously, Van Der Vaart is clearly the more skilled one.

I sincerely hope this is due to the fickle perception Snejder being in a good place with Inter while VDV has been out of sight out of mind in the eyes of the football world in his Real stint, hence people forgetting his skill But in Ajax, it was very glaring VDV was the top class level of talent one, while Sneijder was and is the good and functional player. Same with Hamburg, VDV performed in a level Sneijder hasnt and prolly never will.

The perceptions of players can be altered rather gravely based on very current circusmtances, for example while in Milan Gourcuff was considered a laughing stock and Nasri in excelling in Marseille, the heir apparent to Zizou and darling of France. There was a total reversal on this when Nasri was struggling alot with Arsenal, doing very little, and Gourcuff was dominating France for fun, in club and national level. If you talk to the same people in these two different scenarios, you'll be hearing different and contradicting things about the players. It just can be too fickle.

My point is, I really cant get how anyone can say Snejder is better or more skilled then Van Der Vaart, he has a better shot, and is more of a two-way player then him. But the superior and more talented one should be obvious, if you consider the overall picture, and not just current circusmtances (just not long ago, Snejder was the butt of the joke for lot of people for stinking it up at Real in second season).

Correct dude. However Nasri never had a hard time at Arsenal he settled very well in my opinion.

Regarding Schelotto, the Cesena Serie B youngster who looks like Prince of Persia on crack and recently rumoured to us. I couldnt scout him today with ze Azzurrini, so I had someone else do it for me. And well, see if this entails ze new Camo for ya:

I gotta say, I am very disappointed with Schelotto so far. Especially with all the hype he has been getting. To give a report to Osman, picture De Ceglie on the right wing, and right footed, but without the same crossing ability, without the same defensive ability, but he has around the same mobility and speed (hes probably slower than De Ceglie)........I hope this is just a very bad half from him and he is not this.....crappy! Easily our worst player of the first half.
Schelotto, easily our worst player today is taken out for Barilla'

Yay.....:shifty: :D

First half of last season he was crap/average, the rest he got into more, but generally mediocre at best. He didnt get much grief for it, and shouldnt, but it was an underwhelming season for him, he didnt have much impact or end product. Though he was good in the bigger games.

Well in general he had an average debute season, doesnt need to be awful. But just that the same people who was going gaga over him (I highly recommended him to Arse fans and still think he is ridicolously talented mofo) in Marseille, suddenly thought he is nothing special immediately. And it was all about Gourcuff (even if he is clearly better), the same Gourcuff that was said to be no comparison to Nasri not long ago. Fickle bandwagonry can be rather annoying.

Interesting last few posts...Os went on a shooting spree of posts and replies :shifty:

It all ends with Kyle crying.

Why don't we go for Gourcuff? TBH I am not sure what position he plays but maybe this is a long shot for a Camo replacement? Someone refresh my memory what this Frenchie plays:)

Nani is a talented player that has not yet reached his full potential. One has to wonder, if Fergie couldn't get the best out of him, who will?
I for one cant really blame him for not reaching his peak yet.Its kinda hard living in CR7's shadow but Nani strikes me as the type of player that needs constant attention & faith shown in his abilities.

I think he needs to play for a less prestigious club. It's merely a scenario of the big fish in a small pond that would suit him.

Carlo Nesti spoke about our market

Bonucci, Andrea Ranocchia
Acquafresca (we could give Criscito or Palladino) :sergio:
Schelotto - Castagnini himself is going to watch him in the upcoming weeks
Kiessling
Chamakh and Dzeko
Alan Kardec Seleçao (it seems that we've declared the interest), he said it'd be a dream to play for Juve
Molinaro out - Zuniga/Motta in

Those seem good especially the moli scenario. No way we should totally give up on Criscito unless we find a solid long term solution for LB.

How much would Dzeko cost? I doubt he'll come because its seem Trez will stay.

Acquafresca sucks so I wouldn't even trade Almiron with him.
Schelotto seems promising, we should keep an eye on him. We need someone on that position.
Kiessling, meh...not sure about him. So far he scored 8 goals.
Chamakh would be a no no. Dzeko would be nice but as you said, if Trez stays I'm not sure we can expect that move. His price would be 20-25mln probably.
It's always good to keep an eye on young players like Seleçao
I'd personally prefer Motta.

Maybe we can offload almiron to genoa to get the other half of Criscito.Spot on about Chamakh.Dzeko would definitely go to meelan before us considering their strikers,he'd probably get a guaranteed starting spot for them.

Motta is definitely a good option, kinda sucks that we didn't get him first.Didn't you say that roma sold half his contract & to who again?

Yep, they sold 50% to Udinese but I think he's co-owned by Udine, not Roma so that could make some problem.
