More On-topic: Sagna, if only indeed Aush :D
sagna would be good

but is this gignac any good?
Gignac, meh there's better in the Ligue itself.
Sagna's development hasn't been as expected for me. The man crosses worse than Molinaro.
That may have to do with having Clichy who's a far better crosser of the ball on the other-side. But with stamina and strength wise he's better than Clichy.
I want Sagna but I don't see the board spending that much, we will probably end up with Zuniga which blows because the other RBs we are linked Motta, Beck, Rafinha, lichstiener are all much better
Sad... but true.

Yeah that would certainly be annoying. Or we renew Grygera's contract:sergio:

It says that "want" him. It also says that we spent 50mln this summer so we don't have money to buy him. :p
we can get some money, Molinaro is wanted in Germany by Hamburg and Tiago could go back to Portugal, it would bring in around 10 Mil, but we probably need anther 10 Mil plus to sign Sagna anyway

I am worried that our board is going to fail us in strengthening the defense again, they don't seem to get that replacing average players with more average players doesn't help
Melo to replace Poulsen?

:)

I get what your saying, I think they have plans to want to sign a great full back or defender but when the going gets tough I hope they don't give up and go for the "next best" thing. That is what I am worried about.

If you want to make the next step up in class, you need to bring that class in. It certainly won't come on the feet of Grygera or Poulsen.

Not at ALL, both have weak crossing ability for sure, but I'll say Sagna is more efficient crosser. He assists from time to time (2 assists against Tottenham), and puts in more crosses. Clichy is really inept at it.

Exactly, the signings of Melo and Diego were great because we finally singed two world class players in their mid 20's but we havne't had as much luck with defensive signings. Cannavaro on a bosman was a brilliant move for one or two seasons but he will need to be replaced soon. We also need a new starter on both the fullback positions, preferably players who are much better defensively than our current ones. IMO strengthening the wings defensively is more important than getting fullbacks who can cross

Motta. remember his cross last game
His crosses look more like lobs though. :p
But the lob found Vucinic's head didn't it? That is more than Molinaro in two seasons.
:D Hus knows hw dear that goal was to me. Earned me quite a bunch of +reps :p
It almost earned you a negative from me when your final "prediction" sunk like the titanic:claire:

Yeah, I personally am more of a "defending over crossing" kind of guy. I want to know that I have a an outside LB that can stop Maicon from pissing in our ear whenever he wants. We have enough attacking capability from our 4231 from the DMs up to attackers to get us through games. With all that attack we need 4 highly stable, consistent and intelligent defenders. That is what I liked about Criscito and hope to GOD we get him back. He isn't the biggest but makes up for it with Intelligence. We know what Chiellini brings and Canna but like you said we need someone to fill the big shoes of Cannavaro. The few Bari statues they have as CBs, one of them would be fantastic....and you all know what I think of Kjaer.

RB is the big one, I don't mind an occasional run up the flank and if you are going to make all that effort and energy while leaving a huge hole at the back and a man down then we need someone that is going to make the most of it...unlike Molinaro. I am tired of seeing our wingbacks push up and fuck up with the final cross and just seeing them shake their heads:sergio:

Criscito is an absolute must and one of Kjaer, Ranocchia, Bocchetti or the other guy his name is slipping my mind...Bonucci.

I trust Mark and Dusan pretty much only with the "rare" exception of Red and Fred when it comes to "scouting". I am not sure on Beck but hear good things, Motta i saw with my own eyes, and Rafinha as well. I will trust you 4 because you get to watch a hell of a lot more soccer than I do living where you do.

Really? I dunno, I think Clichy personally because he's faster so when he gets behind the players he has more time to place his crosses...
