Interesting last few posts...Os went on a shooting spree of posts and replies :shifty:

It all ends with Kyle crying.

Why don't we go for Gourcuff? TBH I am not sure what position he plays but maybe this is a long shot for a Camo replacement? Someone refresh my memory what this Frenchie plays:)
No point, he's a CAM so I think we are sorted there.
Camo's best replacement would be krasić for sure, thing is do you actually think they are thinking about getting one with camo in such form?
And as for Moussa Sissoko I can't think of anything worse to waste our money on as we already have a plethroa of DM/CM's who still have plenty of playing time.
I think we should just go for two players:-
Gonzalo Castro
Krasić

I'm not sure how it goes. If Roma offers us 2-3mln + half of Motta's contract he'd come here and play for us till the end of the season, no? There might be some problems when season finishes though.
Why do that & waste money? Udinese just wanna screw us over considering the amount paid for Melo. They'll milk it for all they've got.

I don't think our staff is that blind, there must be an agreement even in January. I'm sure Udinese wants some out player and it could easily be Palladino or someone.

Carlo Nesti spoke about our market

Bonucci, Andrea Ranocchia
Acquafresca (we could give Criscito or Palladino) :sergio:
Schelotto - Castagnini himself is going to watch him in the upcoming weeks
Kiessling
Chamakh and Dzeko
Alan Kardec Seleçao (it seems that we've declared the interest), he said it'd be a dream to play for Juve
Molinaro out - Zuniga/Motta in
Scares the fuck out of me. Kiessling :sergio: Acquafresca:sergio: Mediocrity in a football jersey.

I have to admit, it's not as close when Sylvie doesn't count. :p

Honestly though, if I had to pick between the two purely on skill I'd pick Sneijder, but I think that lookin at the kinda position we need a player for, vd Vaart is more suitable. Sneijder has to be in the centre, whereas I think vdVaart can do pretty well a bit more on the side. Let's not forget, it's not a 4-4-2 where we need wingers who just storm up and down the flank.

Generally speaking I think people underrate vdVaart, so thats basically why I reacted to it. I fully realise Sneijder is the more complete player.
Exactly, I can't not be biased as soon as Sylvie is involved :p Anyways, word I agree completely.

Anyone who has watched them since their careers started would know its OBVIOUS ithat Van Der Vaart is easily the more talented and better player.

Does not mean we need him or should sign him, but you should still know whats what.

 I dutchie saying Snejder is more skilled then Van Der vaart?

Seriously, Van Der Vaart is clearly the more skilled one.

I sincerely hope this is due to the fickle perception Snejder being in a good place with Inter while VDV has been out of sight out of mind in the eyes of the football world in his Real stint, hence people forgetting his skill But in Ajax, it was very glaring VDV was the top class level of talent one, while Sneijder was and is the good and functional player. Same with Hamburg, VDV performed in a level Sneijder hasnt and prolly never will.

The perceptions of players can be altered rather gravely based on very current circusmtances, for example while in Milan Gourcuff was considered a laughing stock and Nasri in excelling in Marseille, the heir apparent to Zizou and darling of France. There was a total reversal on this when Nasri was struggling alot with Arsenal, doing very little, and Gourcuff was dominating France for fun, in club and national level. If you talk to the same people in these two different scenarios, you'll be hearing different and contradicting things about the players. It just can be too fickle.

My point is, I really cant get how anyone can say Snejder is better or more skilled then Van Der Vaart, he has a better shot, and is more of a two-way player then him. But the superior and more talented one should be obvious, if you consider the overall picture, and not just current circusmtances (just not long ago, Snejder was the butt of the joke for lot of people for stinking it up at Real in second season).
Yes you definitely have a point no doubt but, I think with the formation which partciularly trying right now the 4-4-2, or the 4-1-2-1 it it's imperative we would required a player that has more grit and stamina whilst controlling the flow of the game. Now with regards to Van Der Vaart and Sneijder, we already do have Diego (who has all the ownness) with that position, if we didn't I would have probably signed Van Der Vaart instead. But since it's more of a narrow formation which requires players to drift out more I would pick Sneijder.

@Osman:

Maybe 'skillwise' isn't the right term when you have to pick between vdVaart and Sneijder, but that's why I finished by saying that I realise Sneijder is the more complete player in that post.

vdVaart might have a slightly better first touch and more flair if you will, but I really don't think he's more talented or better than Sneijder if you look at what both can bring to a game. I'm not being influenced by the situation though, as I've watched them both for Ajax and always kept following them. vdVaart did great at Hamburg, but let's be honest, it's alot easier to stand out at a club like Hamburg than Madrid. Even though being somewhat different players, do you think Sneijder couldn't have had such an impact at a club like Hamburg?!

It's hard to compare the situations of the two when one was at Hamburg, the other at Madrid. I see your point though, I guess I just rate Sneijder a bit higher than you, it's all good.

More On-topic: Sagna, if only indeed Aush :D

actually i like the list. especially the first and the last line. we need a cb and rb. but yes i agree with you that kiessling and maybe the feshwater shouldn´t be on our wishlist. i would b very happy with ranocchia and motta tbh.

I want Sagna but I don't see the board spending that much, we will probably end up with Zuniga which blows because the other RBs we are linked Motta, Beck, Rafinha, lichstiener are all much better
