They shut the mobile networks in Tehran within the time of the protests on the Student Day. Cellphone lines getting crushed has become an ominous sign for the people since the first days of the unrest. Whenever they shut the lines or slow down the internet connections, everyone expects something awful to take place. When Basij attacked Tehran University campus after the elections, all the phone lines were down. After they left the university, the injured students were not able even to make contact with the outside asking for help.

i watched this http://freedocumentaries.org/theatre.php?filmID=305 earlier and it should provide u with information regarding this proposed war on iran, it also does a good job in explaining how things are run in iran ( sth i never knew before bec i never understood the role of the general counsel etc) it also goes into irans right for nucleur power for civil needs, the history of relations with the US etc.

They have a right to nuclear energy, but when you begin to produce highly enriched uranium and build clandestine nuclear facilities, civilian energy is clearly not their goal.

***I am strongly against any strike on Iran, as it would be devastating for the region. Not to mention oil prices would skyrocket as a result of a mined up Straight of Hormuz.
