If I was a Muslim, I could live in the West, having to look over my shoulder at the backwards types and the ignorants who might cause me harm.
But in China, I could very likely be imprisoned and persecuted for my practices alone -- and by the official government, not just a bunch of backward yokel locals.
Institutionalizing that kind of oppression is what makes it worse for a Muslim in China.

the reason, and like greg said (i'll not use the big word he did, to make sure you understand) is that according to the LAW you cannot discriminate on someone on the basis of religion, among other things.
if i dont want to, i dont have to get taught religion in a public school and if i so choose i can pay to have my kid taught in a religious school of my choosing. and yes canada had the debate regarding faith-based public schools and yes most of the provinces finance only catholic ones, but that is because of historical significance and not because the government sponsoring the religion. and the numbers were punched, it didnt make financial sense to finance separate schools for all religions.
according to this, my government must pay a lot to the UN to shut their mouth up, am I right or am I right?

The fact is before 1959, dalai lama was the biggest slaveholder in tibet and the land was ruled by a theocracy system which is despised by everyone in all western countries right now, and thats the main reason why US launched a war against Afganstan as well.
those who shouted "free tibet" just have no idea whats really going on on this land. there is no options but option for those tibetans to chose how to live their lives. CCP or Dalai Lama, dictatorship(alleged) or slavery, they both are not good options but unfortunatly you have to pick one from them, and obviously there is nothing worse than slavery.
so, my opinion, before someone say "free tibet", they must think carefully the consequence of a "free" tibet will bring.
if someone who really wants to help the tibetans, here is the way, I beg u, come to tibet and teach those people to think what is really good for them

If the American people knew the truth about the War as I do, they would NOT condone the actions of this horrendous administration we have here in the States. Are you telling me that you're condoning PetroChina's actions in Sudan? Because it certainly looks like you're saying continue on with the genocide.

many of you here might never admit that you are influenced by the media in your country, and you can alway hold a objective point of view to everything. the fact is you will be influenced before u realize that

how many of u read the articles on gazzata about calciopoli? how many of the articles wrote in other languages you have read mentioned about what role of morati and his merda team play in this farce? how many of u believe Juve deserve serie b for what they didnt do?
I still believe we won 29 Scudetto not 27, but ask around, who is with u except a true Juventino. everybody call us cheaters, should we blame Juve for this or should we blame the media who invent such farce at the first place?

basicly the media just care about offer the majorities of what they want to hear. Juve had a doping history but luckly get out clean but this time he would not get away from this. Juve is bad! a role of evil have already been set for Juve before a trial, and most of people love it because there were always kinds of rumours or suspicion on Juve's victories for many years, and the media just prove they were right about that.
communism is evil, pla are murders, Chinese are poor and less educated bla bla.....these were what you people learn from your media for past 50 years, and most of them love it because it makes them feel better for living in a "much better free world". I dont see any difference in this issue between the fucked up italian sports media and the western media who is trying everything they can to bash my country, and I defend my country as I defend the reputation of Juve.
