In all honesty, there are alot of countries that are guilty of breaking human rights (or destroying and manipulating other countries' economies, wars, politics and such) that it's very hard to for country A to come and point a finger at country B and say you are bad!! when there is blood all over country A's hand.

almost all major modern countries have committed, or are committing major crimes for their interests. If we are to point fingers and boycott countries then the list would be very large.

just my 2 cents.
Just keep the games in Australia. It's the best place for them.

Or better yet, move them to Jamaica. After all it's impossible to hate Jamaica.
I was being serious. Australia is probably the most equipped to hold the games from an infrastructure and space standpoint. Last time they had the Olympics they did a great job. On top of that, when's the last time you read about Aussie terror/torture camps?

I don't think the Aborigines would appreciate building ski slopes in the middle of their desert.

Australia was still the best Summer Games. Lillehammer was probably the best Winter Games, IMO.

 @ the Chinese protesting the French -- as if that's never been done before.

I guess everybody has to have their own "Freedom Fries" I presume. Or, maybe in China's case, they can call them "Firewall Fries".

But China really is just starting to recognize there's a planet beyond their Middle Kingdom/we're-the-center-of-the-universe thinking. Just wait until they discover Burke's porn collection...

It rivals Hideki Matsui's.

Or keep the Olympics and just add Clubbing to Death as a new event...
That could work as well.

I heckled a slew of Matsui fans at the Yankees game friday night. "No ticky! No Matsui"! They were cracking up.
:lol2:

In THIS COUNTRY... we heckle professional athletes. And yes, it does add inches to your dick. Plus you don't get a life sentence for it. :frank:

Yeah, the best part was that their English was minimal. So I'm pretty sure they just saw some idiot kid yelling nonsense followed by "Matsui!!!!!".

Would people have the same problem of making a bis fuss if the US hosted the Olympics instead?

The difference is that it's so obvious in China. It's pretty obvious in the US as well, but China makes it really hard to ignore.

What I find revolting is people asking for concepts such as cultural equality or telling us that we have to consider the fact the Chinese culture is a different one. Yeah, it may be different, but guess what, it's just plain wrong. I might be a chauvinist western pig, but China is not a-okay.

And I don't need some moronic cultural leftie telling me it is. There is simply no way in which you can compare for example Belgium to China. Whilst there may be blood on Belgium's hand, China's the vagina where it's coming from.
