Yes, this might takes years to solve in court, so for all parties it would be best to let cl start as i should next season. Another thing is the fact that uefa will be kickstarting the super league if they try to ban anyone of the 12 teams. Forcing the teams to go ahead with the super league.
How's that?
This entire farce just proved that you need enough teams to go along with you. If not, there's no league to begin with.

So let's imagine for a minute that they try to ban 1 team from the CL and it's Juve (I'm not saying this will happen, obviously). Do you really think the other teams are going to take a stand?
Nope, they'll just continue.
You can forget about getting support from the English teams. That should be obvious by now.
You can forget about getting support from the Italian clubs. They dislike us enough anyway as it is and no Juve in the CL probably means another Italian team can take our place.
When it comes down to it, every single team is going to look at what's best for them. I don't see any team coming to our rescue when it doesn't benefit that team itself. Let alone when it could potentially harm that team.

Just to be clear: I don't think this is going to happen. Some meaningless fine for some/all teams would be a predictable outcome, I guess.

btw brilliant post on Sky, PL, UEFA and FIFA on redcafe:

i cant fucking believe it but sky sports in uk was made free to air for the ESL bashing.
"Hey guys, join us tonight on Sky Sports for free to see us soapbox about how corporate greed and the over monetization of football is taking the game we love away from the fans. What? You'd actually be interested in watching the football match after as well? Yeah, sorry bud, that's gonna cost you £50"
brilliant.

Not sure how accurate this is as Agnelli ruled out a bumper pack and it raises questions such as if they didn't receive money why would they pay but it's funny nonetheless

Banning one team for what 12 teams has a written contract sounds like a nightmare to win in court. Depending on the contract between the teams, there is also the possibility of the teams leaving to get sued by the remaining teams. Its an extremly delicate situation, so we will se what comes of this in the end

I doubt they would have left so quickly if they had to pay a big fine. They probably would have to pay that if they left after the league started.

Majority are for the super league??

I thought fans were against this farce of an idea. Everyone here knows I'm an Arsenal fan, but the fact that we would be a part of this when we're currently 10th in the league and haven't been top four in 5 years is comical. It just takes the whole concept of merit out of the game. I'm not against the game evolving, but giving teams a right to be in a competition regardless of merit just doesn't make any sense to me.

Also seen this around in other Spanish sources, for some reason they've removed us as one of the clubs that are still in it, yet we know that's false. Propaganda or lack of respect? I don't mind of course.

Juve, Real, Barcelona and one more club should start something at least.

IMO they should form a traditional pre-season tournament/trophy that would be played with full squads. They would surely generate some money. But most importantly it would generate fan interest. I'm tired of watching Juve over the years play random teams in Europe and Italy in pre-season. Give me something extra!

Keep the summer tournaments on other continents (Asia, North America) that generate income, but form a new mini super-league. At least start somewhere and show us top football with superstars only.

Build from this for the future super league.
