You hope it crashes amd fails but if it succeeds you want in? You stand with uefa but you hope the sl that you hate dismantles it.

You sound like an intellectually grounded and emotionally balanced person.
I don't like what football has turned into, it's been like this for at least a decade. Only reason I'm still on is because I feel the Bundesliga and my own club in Denmark have this "local" feeling.

I'm not only against the Super League, what I despise is the fact that a few selected clubs think they're above the rest. And I would despise my own club even more than the others if they took part in it.

Yeah, its a pr war, and alot of money and power is in play. Uefa, leagues and governments are scared now, judging by their reactions. Lets see how ppl react when they find out this is a competition replacing cl and not the actual league, and when you get to watch big matches every week and not maybe 2 times a year. Uefa and fifa has been diluting football for too long and its destroying the interest for ppl growing up, which is a consern, that must be addressed. The top players are playing far too many games between league and natinal teams, most against far inferior opponents, just bc thats how uefa want to generate more money. Top players arrive exhusted to wc and euro and deliver poor performances, and the quality is much worse than it could have been. Something have to change beginnig with the super league
This!

Agree. Qatar Airways on your sleeve gives you a great sense of local feeling.

Something like this just ruins it for me. A few clubs thinking they're above the rest and shouldn't be able to get relegated is just not my thing.
Sorry where does relegation come in to all this?

I keep hearing fans say its a closed league, no relegations etc...

Either people haven't quite understood the concept that this SL is a lucrative rival to the current UEFA competition where there are no relegations just as there aren't in the UEFA competitions or the fact that this does not replace the current domestic league format.

Players will do whatever their employers tell them.
The ones that are not against it will stay silent to protect their reputations. The ones that do oppose it will have a loud collective voice.

If enough players say they are not going to play in the SL even if they will be fined or not paid, what can the clubs do next? You think Liverpool will cancel Henderson and 10 other players' contracts?

What I mean with relegation is the fact that a few clubs are there to stay. The biggest clubs wouldn't be able to fail to qualify for it. At least in the CL you have to qualify through your own league.

And I doubt that they don't have clauses that state that they can't do anything that damages the reputation of the clubs they are playing for.
But its like not showing up to work because you don't feel like it. Your work contract will state its gross misconduct and will be dealt with accordingly.

But again this doesn't make sense because the new CL format which comes into play in 2024 already protects clubs with rich history to ensure they're guaranteed a spot in the CL if they don't qualify through the normal routes anyways
