I guess this league will have some salary cap, because if Real wins it three times in a row they'll generate so much money that they could buy all other team's best players.

Mourinho is an f'ing genius. Spurs have been shit for months and he was almost guaranteed to be sacked anyways, but he's now capitalized on the recent events and has managed to go out as a martyr for football.

Mourinho is a genuine man, so I'm sure principle is involved in this as well. But if what I'm saying has any truth to it then Mou has yet again proved that he is a brilliant tactician when it comes to the football pitch and the media room.

This is the best news of all. Winners should be rewarded much more than others.

Arsenal get 13m less than 1st place for finishing 4th. What is their incentive to spend 500m on new players to win the league when the reward for that is only 13m? Take money away from bottom half of table teams and give the champion 200m more than second placed team. Then you'll see clubs fighting to spend and win.

I understand what you are saying but things are changing. Why should Juve give f about Seria A who's federation tried to destroy the club, instead of actually help them.
We should give a fuck because we should have more integrity and responsibility as a club. Without serie a we’d be nothing - the Italian league has a beautiful history. Let’s fix it rather than turn our back on it. We are also a large part of the reason it didn’t capitalise on its world leading position in the 90s with our own lack of investment in infrastructure and bureaucracy - look at how the premier league took that mantle.

I don’t want to watch the Juventus Globe Trotters turn European and world football into a money making spectacle. You think this is going to improve serie a? It’s going to make the domestic leagues a sham - we will be earning 10-15x as much money as the other clubs who will have very little source of income. It will create such a vast chasm between us and the Milan clubs and the rest of the league.

The only people who win here are the club owners who will succeed in their aim of turning sport into a business. Look at who has formed this league, Abramovic, sheikh mansoor, the glazers, Fenway sports, suning group, Elliot capital, Stan kronke etc. - these aren’t football people these are business people. 80% of them likely don’t even know the rules of the game.

Yes the genius just gave Levy the excuse he wanted to sack him without paying his salary.

Only reason Bayern is hesitating is because of the 50+1 rule.

If not for that we would be on the train already and probably as one of the frunt runners. The local Bayern fans got a lot of power in this matter and a big boycot of the club would probably come from those Germans.
Makes sense.

Local fans will mostly be against the idea of a Superleague.
International fans, having less ties, will mostly be in favour of it.

I don't think it will happen just yet. But if & when it does, I'm out. Not that that matters one bit, obviously :D

Gentlemanly conduct was always percieved by FIGC as a signal of weakness.

You cant fight the whole village, eventually you have to move to a city to fulfill your ambitions.

Exactly my sentiment.

If this goes through I'm done with Juve. My only hope is that the national leagues show us and the other teams the door when it does go through.
