Why are people watching football if they hate it so much in its current form? The disdain people seem to have towards Serie A and the CL is a bit of a surprise for me and it seems weird to put yourself through the ordeal of having to watch games you don't like. I personally don't mind watching Juve vs Verona, Genoa, Torino, Dynamo Kiev etc.

There are plenty of other sports with different formats to watch if football isn't your thing. Or if you want football but with an American twist there's always the MLS.
It’s nostalgia for an era when football was actually a pleasure to watch and competitive.

I enjoy the sport, I don’t enjoy what it’s become, style over substance, and an absolute joke when it comes to competitive balance.

It absolutely does need an “American twist”. It doesn’t have to be a permanently closed competition, promotion/relegation is fine, but it does need things like salary cap, a proper free agency, and a way to provide some financial parity both within leagues and between leagues, and some way to have clubs not have their finances destroyed by a bad season or two causing missed CL by top teams or relegation for mid table sides.

So yeah, some perspective would be good, ya know. Rather than this super league = evil dogma.

As I said before a 2-3 division European club league, with relegation/promotion between divisions, with proper organization, financial transparency, and professionals running it instead of corrupt UEFA jokers would be far far better than the nonsense we’re seeing now.

For many it's like a horrible TV show (Game Of Thrones) they loved once and now hate but watch it for the outcome, for others it's a habit, a social event, a ritual to watch games and post on tuz or lack of hobbies or simply masochism. Me? I'd rather lick dogshit off the street than spend a second watching this undignified, perverted debacle.

Less and less people are watching CL acc to numbers.

And welcome to Serial A. Enjoy your stay, newbie.

NHL season is 56 games this year, teams have played around 45 games thus far. Not a single one of the 31 teams has clinched a playoff spot yet of which there are 16. And only 2 teams just in the last couple days eliminated from playoff contention.

But I guess it isn’t competitive at all according to the special bunch here. Terrible closed competitions can’t be lol

Interestingly, all opposing SL either didn't come up with a better solution or are servile to the corrupt and poorly designed status quo, thinking its purpose has anything to do with meritocracy in any form.

But do you get to see UAE City trashing Bate Borisov? You don’t. Success should be earned.

With this all clubs should push UEFA to suspend FFP until the situation get better. UEFA must increase UCL money by a lot too.
Yes i know clubs don't have the power anymore with ESL suspended/disbanded. But UEFA should be aware now that europen clubs financial situation is not in good shape.
FIFA should aware too because they are in the same train as UEFA to opposed ESL.
