Besides Real and Barcelona we just need 3-4 more famous clubs to start things. I think Atletico Madird could be swayed in. Maybe even Dortmund who can't compete with Bayern for a decade now. If we could convince one of the big 6 English clubs to join that would be a tremendous start. Maybe Chelsea with their new owner. That is a crazy motherfucker right there.

Once the big money starts rolling in others would join, especially the big Italian clubs who are aware the football in the country is regressing with each year passing.

Juventus
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Atletico Madrid
Dortmund
Chelsea
Milan
Inter

Start the shit!

Fuck UEFA!
At this point it would make little sense for english teams to join. They already enjoy the privilege of having such a huge financial monopoly over football as it is. The Super League ought to be intended to be a counterweight to the Premier League and that's how I foresee how things will go. Teams like Dortmund, Atletico, Ajax maybe Bayern will soon come to understand that it is necessary if they want to survive and compete financially with these english oil clubs, else they risk a mass exodus of their stars. We will all become feeder teams to the premier league.

So I say f*ck em'. I think something like this would be more than good enough anyway:

1. Real, Barca, Atletico, Villareal
2. Juve, Inter, Milan, Napoli
3. Bayern, Dortmund, Leipzig, Frankfurt
4. PSG, Lille/Monaco, Marseille
5. Porto, Benfica, Sporting
6. Ajax, Feyenoord/PSV

Do it.

Also this just came in:
I hope that this is a sign we will stand our ground against UEFA and not let them use this as some kind of blackmail over sanctions.

yeah but how? is this even possible? or you have to start from the lowest point and then get promoted?
I remember sometime ago that you could offer to buy your spot in a league dunno where or how

you need at least 10 other teams to make it realistic
I was being sarcastic. Hence the last sentence.

JJ leaving Italy is not going to happen in the foreseeable future. Assuming the club actually wants to play football games.

remember when gravina threatened juve with exclusion if juve remain in the superleague? he's also an uefa executive. i'm convinced that this current wave of attack has to do much more with the sl and aa's broken relationship with ceferin than with anything else

and they won't stop by themselves

It's frustrating how close we came to a super league when it was first announced but they promoted it like a bunch of amateurs. Now it will be very hard to get any of the top English clbs to join.

Forget the English teams, they are the competition in the other Super League. You need to get the EU teams to join. Unfortunately you have teams like Bayern, PSG and Inter acting like the Super League is bad.

would Juventus qualify for the ESL by the time it becomes a thing though?
football economy is fucked, everyone wants to make money by scheduling more games, UEFA is 85% run by nations that shouldn't have any say on CL matters -> imo these are the factors that make SL a necessary project, but that also make it very unlikely it'll happen in the near future as there are some strong adversaries. best bet was take them by surprise and that element is gone.

We would need Bayern and PSG to be able to compete with the premier league
