ye there great i love the whole concept of there songs being a written like a story a comic. afterall there all about a story or comic claudio sanchez (lead vocals) wrote.

the mars volta are amazing musically.

It's a "festival" organized by Joe Satriani where he brings along 2 other guitarists and each one plays an individual set before all 3 jam to some of their fave songs. I'm listenin to their first record with Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson jammin!

True. I didn't mind their latest album but it wasn't anything like Room on Fire which is what i currently have on repeat.

I am occasionally partial to the Jovi (in fact i played bass in "bon toby" a cover band for a while lol) but when that song is played at any bar or club i cringe. Like they are expecting everyone to sing along and have a moment.
