imagine this:

-----Mutu - Zlatan

-------Riquelme

Nedved-Emerson-Camo

Zamb-canna-Thuram-Zebina

---------Buffon

I would like this to happen.
And then we get Miguel and use Zebina as a backup for Miguel, then we can get Andrade or Chivu to replace Thuram.
What does this have to do with the possible return of Davids ?!

Davids returning to Juve will not work out imo. There are other new players in the squad, and its one thing to develop an understanding with them, and completely another to bring back the level of game he used to have. Monetary terms alone will not justify his purchase at the way things stand. It's a risk, that we'd rather take with a youngster.

I am reading way too many i don't want him posts on here.

So let me get this straight as a partner for Emerson, majority of you would prefer Blasi and Appiah to Edgar? Now I have heard it all

Or let me see since we do not want him or rather you guys don't want him why not go for Capello's other fave, the very talented and higly skilful Christian Zanetti

Would not that be just peachy, a midfield devoid of Emerson for whatever reason will consist of Appiah and Zanetti in the middle

Scudetto and Cl here we come as nothing can stop us now

Bring Davids back as he is clearly better than Appiah. Who cares if he wasnt 'loyal' and went to Inter, the point is that he will make us stronger

Yes clearly Davids is better than Blasi, Appiah and Zanetti. I simply beleive that the money that would be spent on Davids could be used more wisely for other, younger options.

i think getting davids would be a great move
first of all HE ONLY PLAYS GOOD IN BLACK AND WHITE (he is shitty for inter and barca)
secondly, let's face it, emerson isn't the quickest, so having davids to "pump it up"
juve will be untouchable with davids-emerson in the centre

Davids is superior to all of our central midfielders bar Emerson, but that doesn't mean he'd be a good signing. I'd like to think that the majority of people here would prefer Edgar to Blasi, Appiah and Tacchinardi but I'm sure you'll agree with me in saying that a playmaker is what we need, not another holding midfielder. I'd welcome Davids with open arms if he was cheap and settled for a reasonable salary, but with the money or players that will be necessary to get him we could easily purchase a Riquelme, Pizarro or Meghni.

davids, at least when he played for juve was the man who really earn his salary, a few can work and fight like him,
i believe he was the the reason for juve s last year crisis,
the defence was too pressed without him.
emerson and davids twin would make us super team no time
and the one can replace the other so we wont have to play games like the one with real without a good def midf,
but juve doesnt really welcomes the ones who left,
especially if we have to pay a load of $

Rubbish, Deco wasnt that expensive, and Giuly went for less.

IMO, we could probably get him for a maximum of 10 mil €, probably even 7. He is very underrated.
Maniche for 10m would be an absolutely brilliant purchase. He's one of the best centre mids in the world and would fit into our system very well. He'd be the perfect partner for Emerson.

I'm not that keen on a returning Davids myself. He made his bed -- he should sleep in it. With Emo at the helm in DM, I don't miss him at all.

But I do prefer the discussions of where we really need help in midfield -- at playmaking. Maniche would be a decent choice (though I don't think he deserves the level of accolades he's received this past year). He isn't that much of a constructive playmaker per se, but like Nedved he can threaten with the deep ball and he occasionally shows solid passing skills.

Xavi even better, of course. ;)

it would be cool with Nedved and Maniche, who are both great on longshots :D just like Seedorf and Pirlo :D

Maniche is a fantastic player with a great passing range and a rocket of a shot. I would be overjoyous if Nuno came to Juve because he's just as good of a tackler as Blasi however Maniche is much more adept in attack. He would add loads of creativity to the side, compared to what we have now.

Xavi is great, but you know how Spanish playmakers fair in the Serie A.....not too good.

He's certainly worth it though. Maniche is a world-class midfielder and sooner or latter he'll be playing with one of Europe's big boys and I'm sure that his signing is going to be extremely beneficial to which ever club he joins, regardless of his cost. He's exactly what we need, a solid central midfielder with good attacking ability. Moggi was willing to spend close to 20m for Zlatan so I would like to think that he'd splash 25 for a player of Maniche's quality.
Maniche would be a brilliant signing. I have admired him ever since he thrashed Man United with his midfield displays last year in the CL.

Are you guys sure that Porto would let him go for less than 20 mil Euros? If we could get him for 10 that would be amazing. Maybe offer Appiah in exchange....

Maniche-Emerson would be stunning! The problem however is that however much we'd love to have him, we've mentioned his name out of the blue as none of us is close to being in to give Juve advices on who to buy! :D

But sure enough if I were Moggi, I'd offer Pinto Da Costa players (Tudor and/or Appiah for instance) + a decent amount of money for the Maniche-Miguel package!

10m doesn't sound like enough for Maniche to me. He's certainly worth more and I don't see why Porto would settle for that amount. I think 15m would be reasonable, but offering players who are surplus to requirements (Montero, Appiah) in order to whittle down the price would be sensible.

Everyone says that Moggi doesn't buy big, but imo it's a case of what the coach wants or feels he needs. Capello made it clear that he wanted Cannavaro, Emerson and Ibrahimovic and he got them. If he really wants Maniche I think it would be quite do-able.

Davids is numero uno in my eyes......We would fit in instantly,Maniche is too big risk.....he played one good half-season and IMO bad Euro2004....now,Porto is playing like crap.....and don't turn on the song that he is onley quality player over there. We all know what Davids can offer us......I don't care if he played lbad in Inter.....guys,.....IT's INTER!!!!!!
