this sounds really interesting:
Spalletti: "What I Envy About Mancini? Only His Hair!"

Roma coach Spalletti is very confident ahead of tomorrow night's match against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma are going through an excellent moment and Spalletti cannot help feeling satisfied. Tomorrow night Inter are their next opponents, a highly favoured team that struggled more than expected so far.

"I hope to see the team of 26th August (when they played Inter in the Supercoppa and lost 4-3 after being 3-0 up), but just the one that played in the first half, or the first hour: until it was 3-2 we were playing well. We must avoid letting our guard drop, it's a flaw we must get rid of. Also we must keep control of the game, because if we let them have it, they have more quality and know how to make use of their individual qualities."

After confirming it's too early to talk about a decisive match for the scudetto, the coach answered a standard question with a surprising joke, that reveals the buoyant and optimistic mood he is in: "What do I envy about Mancini? Only his hair..."

I love Spalleti - the man is abosolute class.:D

Anyway here is a food for thought though:

I read in FT in relation to Rossi's Telecom Italia appointment, which described him as.....(you won't believe this)

a respected troubleshooter with reputation for indepence.

And this is a bone for you conspiracy theorists:

Tronchetti, a former chairman of Telecom Italia, is also a major shareholder of the company. The interesting part is that he holds a complicated owernship of the firm whereby he controls the business via a GPI (which he wons 60% of the share), which in turn owns 50% of another holding compnany called Camfin. Camfin owns 25% of Pirelli (A sponsor of Inter), which is by far the largest and dominant shareholder in Olympia, another holding company whose asset is its 18% stake in Telecom Italia.

Can you see the link here?

Inter.

Tronchetti, Rossi, Pirelli are all affliates of Moratti in some form or the other.
To make the matters worse, I think these complicated ownership structure is designed such that Mr. Tronchetti can exert more influence than his pure stake in the company allows him to. The additional capital required for such complicated cross-holding was provided by close friends such as Moratti and co. So in essence, they are one group sharing similar vested interests.

Taking into consideration that Telecom Italia is trying to restructure its business, and turn itself to a media company, could it be that Tronchetti & Rossi et al relegated Juve to lower the fee for future TV rights in Serie A and as a service to Moratti who might have contributed personal sum or two for the corporate restructuring at Telecom Italia?

Anyway, while I detest conspiracy theory, Rossi has too many fishy bits in him to ignore - the man is an absolute crook.

They are winning against the team that has displayed the best football this season so far, there is nothing to make fun of. Zlatan missed a penalty but he has been great.

I would make fun of them anytime but definitely not today and not about this match.

I see no point in changing to Torino.
The next match for inter (against chievo) is Sunday afternoon, and veira should be suspended for that match.:D He'll be able to sit this one out & have a slanging match with mihajlovic - like old times.:p
