Catania defender Andrea Sottil has hit out at Inter’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic after their bust-up during Sunday’s match at the San Siro. “He acts like a kindergarten child.”

The two players argued repeatedly during the match, which was won 2-1 by the Nerazzurri, and footage aired on Italian television on Sunday evening also showed the Swede spitting in Sottil’s direction – an act which may cost him a ban.

“Ibrahimovic acted childishly. At the end of the match I went over to Julio Cruz to tell him that Ibra is not a fair player and guess what – he agreed with me,” said Sottil.

“As to the spit, I admit I didn’t realise he did that. I can only confirm that this behaviour is typical of kindergarten children.

“After Dejan Stankovic’s goal, Ibra turned toward me and did an impolite gesture with his hand and then started to laugh at me.

“I am 32-years-old and I won’t let anyone make fun of me. Ibrahimovic is really an unpleasant person, a professional at his level shouldn’t act that way.

“I also complained with Lele Oriali on the bench, he told Ibra to calm down but it was useless,” concluded the Catania man.

If the footage confirms the Swede’s act, he may be slapped with a three-match ban, although a different camera angle may prove that the spit was aimed at the ground.

Ibrahimovic will also be forced to watch Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow from the stands, as he serves the ban handed out after he was dismissed during the previous match with Bayern Munich.
Nothing new.

In all these efforts to make fun of Inter you forgot one thing: Inter is at the top of the table!

Although they are losers, idiots and they dont deserve 2006 Scudetto, they are currently league leaders.

I hope this will not be the situation after 38 rounds, but right now you have to ask yourselves: IF Juventus were topping the table after 6-7 rounds, would you make fun of them and talking thrash about how they dont deserve the first place?!

P.S. I am not trying to spoil your fun, I would just like to get a smart answer to my question.

The other side of the glass I guess, eh? This is exactly what all the anti-Juve said whenever Juventus got involved in a controversial decision. You're not suggesting Inter are cheating, are you?
Well yeah. The thing is all big teams, whether the name is Juventus, Inter, Milan or even Roma, will always get advantages, especially on home ground. We, the Juvefans, needed not to point out that Inter were favoured by the refs just as much as Juve earlier, because they were never a threat.
But now, when they have actually got a chance to win the scudetto (hahaha, ye right) we start to notice it.

AC Milan player Dario Simic gave an interview for our Daily Football Newspapers called "Sportske Novosti":

I translated the only interesting part (about Serie A this year):

"Serie A is very strange without Juventus. I feel sorry for them as they dont deserve to be in Serie B. They are already showing it by destroying opponents in Serie B. Anyway I hope their sentence will be reduced and I am sure that they will be back next year. Serie A has lost on quality with Juventus being demoted to Serie B as Milan and Juventus always had a great fight for the title."

Bravo Simic! That is the same guy who had a great game on Wednesday Vs England. :agree:

He was in charge for Peter Crouch who has been invisible throughout the game. :D

They played Catania ffs, and won by a freak goal

When we were on top last season, we earnt it(mybe we didnt play the best football) but we didnt give opposition like Catania a chance to breath.

On the other hand Inter r playing like crap, although they have the best squad in serie A. Also the constant whining and the way they cant handle the pressure is just funny.Hence This Thread.

Inter will win the scudetto, there's no way escaping that.

However, this is the worst league championship EVER.

:agree:

However, Milan may join the race if they get their point deduction reduced.

They desperately need a deadly striker(read Trezeguet).

You cant say that 3 wins and 3 draws are that bad.

They would be 3rd without point deduction. :agree:

Trezeguet is not a solution to their forward problem. They need a Henry actually.

This year's scudetto is a damaged good.

If Inter won it, everyone would still make fun of them.

However I'll celebrate like mad if another team won it.
And I hope it'd be Siena, Juve's alumni....:D
