Imo, Pirlo and De Rossi are enough to control the midfield. I personally find Gattuso a little bit overated, and not starting with Camo is just wrong. Besides, Camo can do well both at the right and center, and he's great with controlling the ball.

I really want to see Alex and Francesco together, but I am afraid Lippi won't put them together, but anyway, ma first XI would be:

looks ugly, but what I mean is Camo will running on the right, with attacking intentions, Totti will be up front, just under two strikers, Alex will go back deeper than Toni, and Zambrotta will cover left wing. In the centre we have probably the best defending pair at this time, and a solid midfield team... And Buffon is obviously our keeper, keeping Italy safe ))

i just played Fifa WC 2006. and Toni and Gila is the starting lineup of the Azurri with a overall stats of 82 and 84 if i remembered correctly
cassano is in the reserves with an overall of 87 while Inzaghi with a 88

what loads of BS
do EA Sports know anything about reality football?
