Chelsea fans at that point in time were used to qualifying for europe & that it.They never knew what winning the epl was about.Parma is relegation candidate club & Roma are a CL/Europe League qualification club.

You make it sound like Ranieri is performing miracles & winning silverware with those teams mentioned.
Exactly!!!!

He achieved the targets of those clubs (he did at Chelsea until Abramovich came in at least). I'm not saying he's a miracle worker but he's not the idiot that he's portrayed as around here.

and reactivate Nigerian attacking duo Amunike-Amokaci.

Don't forget to bring in the SS Ade Akinbiyi.

I agree about Parma & Roma but he failed at Valencia. As for Chelsea he did fail, they expected to challenge for the premiership & look at the players they had & the amount of money they spent on players.

They paid over 20m for Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink(one of my fav strikers back then) from Leeds & they had quite a strong team, they were lacking on the psychological aspect of the game. That is one area of the game where Ranieri is lost.

He's good where it doesn't get too hot & he's a "safety" coach,simply put.

Its laughable to see members posting 'i dont care anymore' then getting stuck into tactical discussion...also I am perplexed by what the hell is meant by 'proven entity'....Besides the normal nonsense on these boards, my spirits are buoyed by some of the more intelligent and reasonable posters, showing at least a hint of optimism, which I share.

We have Trez, Buffon, Iaquinta, Giovinco, Camo, Poulsen...all to return to the squad. As well as Melo and Marchisio to return to form.

Solely from the returning players, Zach's job isn't amazingly difficult. And more than any massive tactical alteration, with a fitter squad, a striker capable of putting the ball in the net (iaq+Trez), we need just a victory or two to start the momentum, and then move up the table.

Buffon
Grygera Cann Chiellini Sali
Melo momo
Camo Diego Giovino
Trez

With DP, Iaquinta, Marchisio, Grosso, Candreva, caceres on the bench...is NOT AT ALL A MEDICORE TEAM.

Seriously, I feel our biggest threat to success is the injuries, and its looking like they are easing up slowly but surely, in perfect time for the final third of the season.

I don't think Zach is an amazing manager. But he is infinitely more capable than Ciro. We showed signs of life against Lazio. And I am more excited about our team than I have been since August.

Forza Zach, and Forza Juventus. and clearly...despite the traumas, and obvious problems with Blanc and Secco, i still care very deeply for this club.

Indeed, Ranieri is a junk manager.

i dont like this 3-4-3 to me it seems de ceglie wont offer much going forward, caceres will but then leave the right exposed. to me its like playing with 5 in the back really.

just play the 4-2-3-1 for gods sake.

I am not against the 3 men defence in general but with our current team I doubt we could play it our CBs are not good enough (put aside Chiellini) and our wingbacks are junk
De Ceglie is not Juve material and will never be Salihamidzic is too old and he could be ok but as a sub not a starter Caceres is ok but we need someone more suited to that role than him (Rafinha for example)
so I agree I cant see it work
as for the 4-2-3-1 I might be the only member here that dont like it but here I said it I don`t like formations with only 1 striker

Tactics and mini-match in Vinovo

In the last few days, Juventus have been working hard in order to prepare for the match against Livorno on Saturday night. Today, the bianconeri first worked in the gym and then on the field. After a warm-up the team was divided into two groups, the first of 10 and the other 9 players, who alternated work with Mr. Zaccheroni and Stefano Agresti.

On one field, the Juventus coach, concentrated on tactics and ensemble movements, first on the defensive phase and then ball possession. On the other field, Agresti first held a series of technique exercises and then a series of mini-matches on a reduced field.

During the tactical exercises phase, the group made up of 9 players included Hasan Salihamidzic who is continuing with his recovery process. David Trezeguet was also on the field where he returned to running in a separate training programme.

The session was followed closely by president Jean-Claude Blanc, deputy director general Roberto Bettega and sports director Alessio Secco.
