Do you even watch your team?

Gill and Scuderi are very good defensively. If they can't keep Scooter, you're screwed. As much as I dislike them throughout about 5 years, they do save your asses sometimes.
oh man it's just a man...he ain't one of the C,A,A's...i do watch my team as i can (i'm kind of an albertmare because of the time zone). So do you mean we can't change scuderi..it's true that he has a big impact on our defensive play but geez, he's a normal defender? And gill always looked like a slowpoke for me, i didn't liked him one bit.

Typical fan-boy response. "He isn't one of the captains."

Big deal. People like Scuderi and Gill won you a Stanley Cup while you pick your nose watching the game on replay. Cindy the bitch Crosby did nothing in the finals, yet that dumbass gets all the praise over players who made the real difference, the hard-nosed defensemen who aren't that good but still played well.

Once you start following your NHL side a bit more, you'll understand what I'm saying. You rarely see me praise Lidstrom despite him being the best d-man out there, but you do see me praising the hard workers who aren't captains or stars like Abdulcader and Lebda. These guys make the difference.

    Remember that, son.

son  ?...i know that i have much to more hockey to watch until i can speak and analyze to you but still..it's a forum. And yes i see full games after a day because of the timezone, so a few hours of wait can't bother me (except the final) I didn't said that crosby singlehandedly won us the cup. He and malkin had much to say in the offensive zone. That dumbass is breaking record after record, still you keep bashing him (understand you..he's too good and he's not in your team) Don't talk only about the finals...think about the matches they played to get there. Think about the matches in which pens needed that spark...that goal. Scuderi and Gill & the other players won us the stanley cup but as i said, they are medium defenders and can surely be replaced. "one of the captains" cannot be replaced that easy, it's logical. What would you like to hear from a pens fan?...omg we're screwed? we won't make the playoff cuz we lost 2 average defensmen? Hell no...we will carry on. Thank you hall and rob :)

Crosby had little impact in the Stanley Cup Finals for two consecutive years. Fact. The guy is not a captain and shouldn't be one. He has no right to be a captain quite frankly.

Ask any neutral NHL fan and he'll tell you this. Crosby is good but he doesn't deserve to be captain.

He was there for the team...he didn't made an impact in 2 years so what?...he's young....i'm sure he'll make an impact until 35 or i donno what age he will retire. I really don't care, and i'll give away that stanely cup finals impact for his continuity in the regular and playoff in these years. Look at pens stats (in the last 2 years) and then give me a captain.

Last I checked, it was the organization who decided who the Captain is. So, unless you know more than the entire front office in Pittsburgh, and the players in that locker room......................

You know, I decided to do some research on Crosby, and take a look at his career playoff numbers in comparison to one of Andy's all time idols.

Yes, Andy, I'm talking about Stevie Yzerman. Let's take a look, shall we??????

Crosby has played in 49 playoff games, and has 24 goals and 39 assists. 63 points. Hmm, not bad, one would say.

Yzerman? the man who was "always known for being clutch"??

In Yzerman's first 50 playoff games, which is during the course of 9 seasons, by the way, he had 22 goals and 23 assists.

So, if Crosby is merely "good", what is Yzerman??

I'm just saying that Crosby did not step up in the Stanley Cup Finals the last two years, which he did not. He DID NOT STEP UP, just like fucking Hossa.

If you want to be a dick about Yzerman, so be it.

But Crosby will never be the leader and man Stevie Y is. NEVER.

When people start comparing Crosby to greats like Stevey and Wayne, you know you're dealing with an overrated player, especially when he has not accomplished even half of what the others did.

You guys are just feeding my theory that the motherfucker is overrated.

    So good work.

Been in the league for 4 years, won an MVP trophy, been to the stanley cup twice, and has won one.

All before the age of 22.

Yeah Andy, god forbid you let facts get in the way of your theories

Yeah, Crosby is the greatest of all time. Lets be honest here: he is the Messiah.

Now excuse me while I entertain myself with much more pressing matters on July 5th.

What the fuck is your problem, seriously??

Sometimes I can't even have a debate with you.

But yeah, you go tend to your "pressing matters".

There is no point in debating with people who compare Crosby to Steve Yzerman. I mean jesus, you don't see me going around saying Lidstrom is better than Bobby, or Zetterberg is better than freakin' Francis when the guy hasn't even played half of his career yet.

And I don't care to talk to people about the sport if they bring up such garbage.
